New hotel, clean room with comfortable bed. Overpriced for the town, which was not my favorite. Ten minutes from the interstate.

I stayed here on business March 25-28. This was the worst front desk service I have ever encountered. Before I get into the details of that I would like to touch on the positives. The hotel is pretty new so it was in very good condition. The rooms are well furnished and cozy. I used the jacuzzi once and it was very nice just over ran with very small children running and swimming in it.
The continental breakfast was ok. I stayed at a Residence inn in Lafayette, LA and it had a much better breakfast so that is what I am comparing it too. There was just one hot item and the rest was cereal and assorted breads to toast and there was some fruit. I think I would have found it much more satisfactory had I not already stayed at a residence inn.
Now for the bad part. It began with my business collegue picking me up at the airport. He had asked the front desk clerk where the airport is located and she wasn't sure but decided that it was west on I-80, well it wasn't it was east on I-80. One would think that the front desk clerk would know where the airport is in the town. The other issue we had with this is she didn't try looking it up but when I was down there later on she was looking up information for other guest. The next incidence was when I finally arrived and was checking in. We had made the reservation about a month and a half in advance for two rooms with king beds, well they just didn't have those rooms (i.e. they had given them away to other guests) For a little side note Rock Springs is hard to get a room since there are several oil and gas field in the area this is why we made reservation ahead of time. So when I explained that we had made these reservations in advance and wanted the king beds she said to me "well when you are done you can just kick him out of your bed and he can sleep in the other bed" At first I didn't quite catch this insult. Then I was in disbelief when I was already up in my room. But I didn't say anthing because I just wanted to get to my room and there wasn't a manager there anyways. There were several other things that happened not as bad as what this first front desk clerk had done but still annoying. All in all don't stay here if you want to be treated like a paying customer. Stay at the Holiday inn its nicer and has a restaurant attached.

I loved this hotel so much, I booked an extra night. The staff could not be nicer or more accommodating. I was a VERY weary traveler when I arrived, but the efficient and friendly check-in really lifted my spirits. The room was fabulous; gorgeous bathroom with a walk-in huge shower. I called the desk and booked the second night not long after I arrived - I was that impressed.
I woke up late the first morning just as breakfast was ending. I called down to the desk again and they kept the food out until I got there. From the housekeeping team, to the staff in the dining section, to the front desk and the manager - all are just incredibly nice and helpful.
I've always had a pleasant experience staying at Hampton Inns, but this one tops the charts. I've also stayed at many five star hotels, including the Fairmont Chicago, and the quality of this Hampton rivals them all in terms of comfort - and nothing beats the people that work here.

The room was one of the priciest Hampton Inn rooms I've ever stayed in, however, it was spotless, large, and very nice. We had a nonsmoking room on a smoking floor and the hallway had an odor but our room had none. Finally, about 10:30 PM, the TV in the room on my right and the couple talking in normal voices on my left, were quiet. The walls must be cardboard! The bed was very comfortable. If you need to get to sleep early, though, I'd take the noise into consideration.
