Ok, when we first got there it was fine, average looking hotel, nice looking room...But then it started going downhill! They could never provide for anything we asked for at the front desk, even though they claimed to have it in their Best Western Welcome booklet...the bed had a huge dip in the middle, it was the most uncomfortable bed we've ever slept in, they did not have any flat pillows, sleeping on their pillows felt like sleeping on rectangular shaped balloons, we didn't sleep that night. Their "buffet" breakfast was basically a continental breakfast which most hotels give you for free, but best western charges $8 for it, so we ate at the Pickle Barrel. We had booked for 2 nights, but we didn't even bother sleeping there the 2nd night, the front desk didn't even care to ask us why we weren't staying the 2nd night, they were just happy that they could charge us for it...Never staying there again...

this hotel is underrated. i've stayed here one week for business in sept. i have many good things to say; the rooms are clean and large, decent size bathroom, fridge and coffee maker, nice pool, good location, good restaurants around, friendly staff etc etc. the bad parts were: noise from the a/c outside the room, somewhere on the lower level roof, there is a whole lot of them and they make a noise like a factory. wasn't so bad though with the windows closed but it's noticeable. another thing is the noise coming from the a/c in the room. it's a little too noisy, i think. another thing is valet parking. although the staff is quick, it could take a few minutes to get your car and you don't have access to it when you need it. i like self-parking, it gives you full access to your car when you need it. overall the hotel was very good, i had a pleasant stay and i recommend it. get a room on the upper floors and away from the a/c units and you'll be fine. i really like here, the service was good and i would come back. i used to stay at the days hotel on carlton but this a much better hotel

I styed with my family for 5 nights in July 2007. Excellent room - small, but with a lot of furniture in it. Practically no street noise. Very fine outdoor pool with bathrooms connected to it. Of course, no grass lawn at the pool, being a city hotel. Rather peculiar restaurant which did not advertise much, but many restaurants in the area. Short walk to subway (Eglington/Younge). You can be in the city center within 30 minutes. Highly recommended and priceworthy.
