This is a very nice hotel. The staff was really friendly and helpful with directions and local information. The hotel is near a shopping district so there are restaurants, Wal-Mart and a mall close by. It is also close to the interstate which made it easy to get around. The room was very large and had a fridge and microwave. The bathroom was also a nice size with lots of counter space. The breakfast had one hot choice every day along with your usual cereals, breads, fruit and yogurt. The only negative I have to say is there is construction around the hotel. It did not affect my stay at all, but I am not sure what they are building there or how much congestion there may be in the future. I thoughtI saw a sign that it may be a Target. My room faced the interstate and I did not hear anything from the road. All in all a very nice stay and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again.

stayed here for my visit to mount rushmore. it's about 30 min drive to mount rushmore which is ok. it has rushmore mall next to it, plenty of chain restaurants near it also. so 5-star for convinience. staffs are very friendly and helpful.
we have 3 ppl so we got a 2 queen room. room is in decent size, nice decor, beds are comfy. showers is a little weak though.
free hot breakfast! free wifi! can't beat that! if i go rapid city again i'd stay again for sure.
*note* i was planning to stay at the holiday inn in keystone coz it's closer to rushmore, but glad i didn't. since april is still considered low-season, nothing was opened in keystone, it's like a ghost town there.

Stayed 5 nights in order to explore the Black Hills region of S. Dakota. This was a good central location to all the sights. The hotel was a typical Hampton. The room was clean and quiet. It was actually larger than some of the other Hamptons that we've stayed at. It had a wet bar with large counter and a microwave and refrigerator below. The bed was comfortable and had nice linens. The windows also opened which allowed for fresh air. The location was next to I-90 and on a busy commercial street which had other motels, restaurants, and stores. Not at all scenic but convenient. The hotel recommended "Minervas" restaurant down the street and we ate there twice since it was so good. (The best steak that I 've had in a long time). It was an easy drive to Badlands Nat. Park, Custer State Park, Mt. Rushmore, Spearfish Canyon, Deadwood, and Devil's Tower.

This was the most comfortable room I have ever stayed in. Great bed and pillows. It was actually hard to leave the room to go out and do our vacation stuff. I highly recommend it and plan on staying here from now on since I am there so often.

I returned earlier this evening from a 5 night stay at this hotel and wanted to write a review while my stay was still fresh in my mind. This is a beautiful hotel and a great place to stay when touring the Rapid City area. The lobby is great and I think it would be very cozy in the winter with a fire going on the fire place. The front desk staff and management were always helpful and friendly and a pleasure to talk with and get directions from or trip advice. I stayed in a room with 2 queen beds and it was very nice. The room was a good size and had plenty of space to walk around and store my things. Each room has a fridge and microwave and there is a wal-mart about 1 block away. Stock up on your own sodas and snacks and store them in the fridge and it will make your stay more enjoyable. The indoor pool is quite large and the slide is great fun. Even though its the offseason, the hotel was full for a few of the nights I was there but it was still very quiet and I had the pool to myself alot of the time. The hotel is close to the interstate and not too far from the mall and many restaurants. The main attractions of the area are all a short easy drive away. The only problem I encountered during my stay was a broken elevator. The building has only one elevator and it was working off and on for nearly 2 days during the stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Rapid City area.
