The Hampton Inn provided us with good, comfortable accommodation for a very reasonable price. The room was clean and the queen beds more than adequate. The free wireless internet worked OK.
The free continental breakfast offers the standard fare found at this level of hotel pricing; coffee/tea, juices, milk, various muffins, toast, bagels, cereal, apples, etc. Nothing to write home about.

This is a "typical" Hampton Inn. While many Hamptons have "stepped up"
their image, this one has stayed the route of being a Hampton. It was clean and had easy access to the airport. No surprises with breakfast.
Wireless signal was a bit low, but not horrible. Overall it was a nice, not great hotel.

Stayed two nights at the Hampton Inn, Helena, in May. I like the Hampton Inn chain for its consistent quality: rooms are a good size, reasonably priced, and very comfortable. Good value for money.
The breakfast buffet is great!
The staff in Helena, in particular, were very helpful, friendly, and accomodating. After two nights, we had to move: we weren't able to spend our whole Helena stay at the Hampton because they were sold out for a convention. The staff found us other accomodation, and ensured that we'd get a quality experience elsewhere (even though we'd rather have stayed there!)
Location is convenient to the major highways in/out of Helena, and is about 5 minutes from the major mall in town.

The Hampton Inn is a very well, situtated hotel. The problem we had was that there was no real restaurant (the "restaurant" was only availble at breakfast time ...the breakfast, we thought , was just a step above a continental breakfast.) The hot breakfast consisted of processed scrambled eggs or sunny side up (all three mornings we were there). While the hotel staff is very friendly, they do not tell you that most restaurants (I'm not including fast food ones) close by 9:30. We got in at about 7:00 and the first thing the manager told us was that they could get "food in" for us. We chose to go into town... little did we know that the town was deserted with a few stumbling drunks around. We went back to the Hampton Inn and asked the staff to help us... they gave us a booklet with many menus and said that we could order from any one and that a service would deliver. We ordered from two places, a so called chicken roasted place, which turned out to be fried chicken! and a below average pizza place. When we looked carefully at the book we noticed that it was two years old...dated 2005! We did not have one good meal during our stay in Helena! We did not feel safe (with3 kids) going to dinner in what it looked like an unsafe, "depressed' city. Don't ask the hotel staff for their opinion about the local sights... they say "great", "yes" to everything. We wanted to go to the Elkhorn Ghost town... they said it was great...steep...which was okay with us... after driving in the steepest part of Yellowstone, we felt confident we could do this... they failed to tell us, however, (we found out when we started our trip there) that the steepness consisted of a LOT of gravel (12 miles to and from the ghost town),,, we had a Subaru Outback and we could not make even 5 miles without thinking our tires would bust.. we turned around and headed back... You really need a Jeep to get there... The nicest thing we found out about the hotel was the cleanliness everywhere...even the bathrooms near the lobby. The pool was great... we had it to ourselves (5 of us) everynight.
