This was our second stay at this hotel; both times were for short "mini-vacation" getaways.
The room was quiet and comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable. We had a room with a hot tub, which was very enjoyable.
This hotel has a sparkling swimming pool (though a little more shade in the pool area would have been nice to avoid sunburn). Overall, the property is well-maintained, and it shows.
The breakfast bar was good, and the selection was above average for a mid-priced hotel. I would stay here again.

My sister and I booked a room here for one night, strictly so we'd have a place to swim and it was close to our house. But I also have a relative who would stay there every single time she came to visit. So, we'd go see her in her room.
I must say, I always thought the rooms were really nice. Very clean. I never handled the checking in and out, so I don't know anything other than sleeping in the room and swimming in the pool.
It's not the best pool I've been in, rather small, I thought. But if it's really hot and you don't have a pool and you go and swim in it because your auntie is staying there, it's not bad.
But, I never had a problem with this hotel and I would recommend it to others.

My husband and I where moving from Texas to Florida and we booked a room here to break up the driving. A room with a tub with jets was booked and to our surprise the tub was in the room! Across from the bed.
Not only was this strange but gross, there was hair everywhere and it smelled. Not good. Couldn't wait to leave!

We stayed at the Hampton Inn Hattiesberg for a week on business in October of 2006. The hotel is situated on a confusing little sidestreet that also has several other hotels and chain steakhouse restaurants. All of the rooms open to the outside rather than to an interior hallway, so you get to feel like you're in a seedy motel, with lots of foot traffic past your window all night long. Make sure to request a room on the courtyard side, or you'll listen to the highway noise all night.
All that aside, the beds are very, very comfortable, it has the usual excellent Hampton Inn breakfast, and is within a short drive of numerous chain restaurants.
