Beautiful, newer Hampton - convenient to downtown with excellent service & breakfast selection. This hotel is more expensive than most Hamptons, but it's location & ambiance feel like a 5-star. We were particularly impressed with the breakfast - in addition to Hampton's varied selections - hot & cold, they offered a fresh raspberry, strawberry, blackberry mix. A cordial reception & welcoming phone call greeted us. Super for business or sightseeing!

Best Hampton Inn Ever

Great location. New hotel. Nice restaurants right next door. Get the king suite - great room. The Westin is a 5 minute walk from here. The hotel is across from the falls and right on the river path.

My wife and I spent two nights at this property. We opted for this Hampton Inn because it is new, has a great location and was much less pricey than the Hyatt or Westin as a downtown choice.
We were not disappointed in our choice. The room we stayed in was large, quiet and well appointed with comfortable beds. The location is perfect to be within easy walking distance of the great restaurants(the Lazy Goat isn't one I would recommend) in this vibrant downtown. The staff was well trained and attentive to requests. The fitness center and business center are both small but adequate.
The common areas in this property are not extensive. The breakfast area is clean with good food options but is on the smallish side. These observations plus the lack of a pool are detractions for those who might feel these amenities to be important in their hotel choice. I did not find the $6/night parking fee in the deck right below the hotel to be unreasonable for this downtown location.
I think this is a good alternative to the Hyatt and Westin as a downtown Greenville option.

Greenville.....a little TOO clean
Guest name: FilumBarbs, Dublin
Greenville is a pretty and clean (perhaps too sterile)
town. We stayed in the Hampton on Riverplace. This seems to be a fairly new hotel and we had a great room with a balcony. Just be sure to avoid the "Lazy Goat" Restaurant below. The menu is far too ambitious and the dishes we chose failed miserably. Far better eating venues in the downtown area, 10 mins walk away. Advice to any smokers out there.....don't go to Greenville. I like to enjoy a cigar while having a drink but you're not even allowed to smoke on the sidewalk within 10 feet of any establishment. However, all in all, it was a pleasant enough short visit.

This is a great new location in downtown Greenville South Carolina. I will be staying their again this July. The staff if wonderful and the rooms are spacious and clean. We always stay in a king suite. Breakfast is just O.K., but if you just need juice or coffee it is fine. (There is a Starbuck's real close. )
There is no pool, but this is great walking trail along the river and a waterfall/water park for the kids to play in. If you want a pool this is not a place for you.
The hotel is in walking distance to everything. However, you now have to pay for parking.
