My stay at this Hampton Inn location was great. Very clean rooms and great staff. The rate at the time I stayed (during Christmas week) was $99. Believe me when I tell you that hotels in the surrounding area, which I've also stayed at, will not be nearly as clean or accomodating. Don't stay any where in this area for $49 a night.

This is an older motel style property located just off I-40. Convenient to downtown and the convention center, it is also located near restaurants and shopping.
While this is not a luxury stay, the rooms are clean and the area safe. The rooms open onto the parking lot (exterior entrances versus interior hallways) but I didn't think that safety was a problem.
The staff was exceptionally friendly. I would stay here again.

This is an older Hampton Inn with room doors that open directly to the parking lot. Check In was fast and friendly. The room was clean. There was a slight foul order when I entered the room but when I turned the A/C unit on the smell went away. The bed was comfortable and had feather and foam pillows.
Check out was as painless as check in.
I would stay here again.

We stayed one night at this hotel during graduation weekend at UNC-G. It was okay, but not as nice as I had been led to believe by the reviews here.
The hotel staff was outstanding, very friendly and helpful. But there were just some issues with the hotel. For one, it is not a hotel. This is a motel. You park outside your room and lug your heavy wheeled luggage up a flight of stairs. The rooms are well-equipped but small, and done in drab beiges and browns. The bathroom is tiny! The pool is small as well. The place looked as if it was a older Econo-Lodge or Motel 6 that had been renovated.
My biggest complaint, however, was the lack of in-room coffee for the in-room coffeemaker. As a frequent coffee drinker, I always look for the coffeemaker as an amenity in hotel rooms. But the coffeemaker doesn't do much good if the front desk is out of packages of coffee to fill it. I checked three times and they were out my entire visit. Whenever I wanted coffee, I had to come down to the front desk area and this was an inconvenience.
On the positive side, the beds were very comfortable and the shower worked fine. All the other amenities (iron, ironing board, wireless Internet) were readily available. The wireless access was easy to use, and I appreciated the use of a lap desk provided in the room.
Breakfast was okay but not great. Since I'm on the Atkins diet, I was secretly hoping for eggs and sausage links on the buffet but that didn't happen...just some microwaveable omelets that didn't quite cut it. The coffee was very good.
I've stayed at Hampton Inn quite a bit, and this one is close to their usually high standards, but not quite up to par.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 days over the labor day weekend. It is not a fancy place, but an excellent value for the money. Hotel is clean, with spacious rooms, they have free wireless highspeed, pool (small but nice and very clean). The staff was very gracious and accomodating. Daily breakfast was average, not a lavish spread by any means, but, I think, everydody can find something to eat there. We were visiting family, but could not stay with them due to my allergies, and I have heard some bad things about other hotels in our desired price range. We almost stayed at Sheraton (twice as pricey pre night), but I am very glad, that we gave this little spot a try. Also, the location is Very convenient, right off High Point Road.
