My 8 year old daughter and I had stayed at a lovely Doubletree in Fort Lauderdale in the past, but found it was full and VERY pricey this year. I have stayed at Hampton Inns in the past, so picked it out -- with AAA discount relatively inexpensive.
When we arrived, the fellow at the front desk was involved with helping another family find a place to stay locally -- and he must have worked with three others who just dropped in with no reservation! (I think he managed to find everyone a room for the night.)
Lovely staff gave us ideas for local scenic routes, and even told us where to find windfall coconuts! When our flight was cancelled due to weather, there was NO issue with extending our stay. Manager made a point of greeting my daughter and offered her her pick of really cool dinosaur coloring books and crayons.
My daughter loved the hot tub (pool was too cold), and the breakfast (tho I thought the food was iffy). Best of all, for us, was the fact that when we had to leave at 5 a.m., the bill was ready... the COFFEE was ready... the muffins and the fruit were ready!! The kitchen lady even turned on the juice machine so my daughter could get a drink of apple juice BEFORE DAWN!
My daughter forgot her books, but the staff found them, packed them up, and sent them to us (on our nickel) -- no issue.
Only down sides: cold pool, slow internet, and the hotel is surprisingly close to a train that hoots at the crossing...

I stayed at this hotel (Hampton Cypress) Jun 02-07 for 6 night after a cruise.
Check in personal were very nice and helpful with me and my child.
The rooms were very nice and clean. The beds have pillow top mattress's with a choice of different pillows. Very nice touch.
The furniture and carpets in my room were new or close to new.
The bathroom appeared new.The pool area was nice.
Breafast was ok as far as continental goes. I enjoy the days we were at this hotel. The hotel is near from I-95 very quick to acces the hotel or to get on the I-95. The car parking is free and the are several restaurant near the hotel.
I will stay again in this hotel.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel while I was attending a training class for work. The recommended hotel was close to the training facility, however it had gotten HORRIBLE reviews. So, I decided to go with my old standby and stay at the Hampton Inn. This was by far one of the nicest business stays I have had!
The staff was super nice, from the manager to the housekeeping staff to the front desk staff, everyone greeted us and accommodated our needs.
The hotel was clean and well maintained; they were doing some work on the patio by the pool while we were there. The only thing that might be a problem was that the airport was nearby and there was some air traffic close to the hotel, but honestly we never heard any planes landing unless we were outside.
I have basically had nothing but good things to say about Hampton Inns. They have been consistently great places to stay.
I would most definately stay in this hotel again...the price, the people and the location were awesome!

We stayed at this location for 3 nights while attending the Super Bowl. Room and bathroom was very very clean but it was the smallest hotel room we have ever stayed in and certainly the smallest Hampton Inn room. It looked as through they had just remodeled. But the bathroom was so small that you could not shut the door because of the trash can so you had to put the trash can on top of the sink. The space between the bed and the TV was so narrow that you had to walk through sideways. And they had a nice big stuffed easy chair (very heavy and nicely made) but it was right in front of the closet so you were not able to get into the closet without moving the chair, but then when you were done in the closet you had to put it back because there was no where else for it to go. But as with all the other Hampton Inns we have stayed at, the rooms were clean and service was good. I would recommend this hotel but only if you are staying for one night.

Hilton has recently renovated this Hampton Inn. We used Hilton Honors points for a five night stay. We were treated very well while staying here. The breakfast is not all that great. The room is completely made over, and the bed is SUPER comfortable. Water pressure and temperature of the shower water was terrific. The room is small, but not a problem for us. Free parking made it so easy to get in and out. We did not use the pool because we prefer to go to the beach. The hot tub was torn out, possibly being replaced. There isn't anything within walking distance for dinner really, but they have lots of maps and suggestions of restaurants really close by.
I would stay here again even if I didn't have Hilton points.
