I spend over half of the year in hotel rooms, and this is one great hotel. The staff is great and is willing to do just about anything to help. I was lucky enough to be upgraded to the king suite on the 3rd floor, which is well worth the extra $10 or $20 if you're paying for it. The rooms are clean, the property is clean, and the free breakfast is one of the better ones (for a Hampton). Don't be concerned about how close you are to the freeway. My room was about as close as you can get (top floor, end of the hall), and I rarely heard anything. if you have children, the pool is nice sized, with lots of room to spread out.

We motored up 395 into Carson City and found this hotel. Nondescript as it is from the outside, it was an oasis in every way inside--clean, new (3 years and looking even fresher than that), stylish, comfortable, and well-appointed. Danielle at the front desk was a one-woman Chamber of Commerce for Carson City and Nevada and was happily generous with her time and expertise. Nice restaurants are a short distance away--we walked to a delicious Mexican dinner at Mi Casa--and the hotel includes a clever, closet-sized shop next to the front desk where you can buy small items that range from razor-blades to pints of Ben & Jerry's ice cream. Other reviewers have described the property well, and it's as wonderful as the most enthusiastic of them say. Every part of the hotel and its service sang with care and attention to detail, including delicious fresh biscuits on the breakfast buffet. The room rate was VERY reasonable for our weeknight stay during the summer. Danielle and her colleagues gave our road-trip vacation the best possible start!

This is a gorgeous hotel located in the north part of Carson City, very handy to highway 395. It sits between Reno and Lake Tahoe so is convenient to fly to Reno and stay there on your way to the lake to ski or recreate. Great breakfast, super service. The staff is eager to help you enjoy your stay, enthusiastic and very polite. We had some great local restaurants recommended to us. They do not have a full service restaurant but do serve a large and varied selection at breakfast, even healthy stuff instead of the usual junk. This hotel has an enormous pool. Most hotels have oversized bath tubs they call pools! Great workout room with professional equipment and a glass wall that overlooks the pool. You don't have to just watch TV, you can watch your friends in the hot tub or keep an eye on what's happening in the pool. The rooms are spacious and furnished in boutique hotel style rather than the usual chain hotel dreck. The lobby has a beautiful fireplace and comfy, homey furniture where you can hang out and read your free paper or some of the many magazines the hotel subscribes to. Lots of nice personal touches for a chain hootel. We were shocked! Great place to bring your wife for the weekend, just a quick getaway, with fun stuff to do in Carson. We loved our stay and will definately stay again when we return to play in the Reno-Tahoe region. The best!

THis was the best Hampton I've stayed at. The hotel is beautiful and well kept. Rooms are spacious and comfy. Staff is friendly and willing to do whatever it taakes to mae your stay a memorable experience. Will definitely go back!
