This was a great hotel that put us close to Texas A&M CC, numerous restaurants, and the bayfront. The front desk worker was very friendly, and even called me in my room in about 5 minutes after check-in to make sure everything was o.k.
The room was spacious, clean, and had comfy beds, good a/c, and a great bathroom. In the morning, the breakfast was "top-notch" for a continental breakfast.
BTW, the hotel was located across the highway from the mall and numerous restaurants and other stores were within walking or short driving distance.
If in the area again, I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

All I can say is - this is not your average Hampton, and that is NOT a good thing. I stay over a hundred nights per year in various Hilton properties, mostly Hampton Inns and Hilton Garden Inns. I do this because of the reliable quality. I have NEVER left a Hampton property - this one, I refused to stay.
I have stayed at some old Hamptons, and though you could tell they were a little rough around the edges, they still had the basic Hampton presentation. The same can not be said for this Hampton.
Upon checking in, I was first given a smoking room- as a diamond member with a confirmed Non Smoking room. Not only did it reek of smoke, but also had stains on the floors and walls as well as mildew and peeling paint in the bathroom. After some pushing they "found" a non smoking room. That room also had a horrible mildew smell, peeling paint, and stains on the carpets. The work space in both rooms was a joke. A kitchen style table with an arm chair crammed in the corner, no light, no plug, no phone nearby. Not at all conducive to business travel.
When I asked about the poor room and workspace, they said some of the king suites might have better space, but they had none. Okay - Check me out and let me go on my way. I did however find a rate nearly the same at the brand new Hilton Garden Inn about a 1.5 miles down the road. How great.

This hotel is just an average Hampton Inn hotel. Nothing out of the ordinary. I only stayed there for one night and it was an ok stay. The room is just a regular hampton inn room. The bed was a plus and bathroom is just regular, but at least clean. During my business trip I also stayed at Hampton Inn at Northwest I-37 and that hotel exceed my expectation. They have nice bedroom and bathroom. The only con about that location is a bit far from downtown and restaurants. I chose this Hampton inn because of its location with closeby restaurants and entertainments. I will probably stay here again for future trip and hoping that they will improve the hotel soon. they were fixing the breakfast area when i was there so hopefully more works are in the future. Overal it was a good stay.

This hotel is ok. It's in a good location, about 10 minutes from the bay, and also Padre Island. There's a large mall nearby, with lots of restaurants and shops.
The front desk staff weren't particularly friendly, but the maid service and breakfast attendant were all excellent. The breakfast was very acceptable, although there wasn't enough seating and we had to eat in our room.
They didn't clean up the surroundings of the hotel over the weekend, leaving several overflowing bins which was disappointing.
The room was big, but the airconditioning was very loud and quite intrusive. The internet access didn't work most of the time.
The indoor pool is a real highlight, with spa area.
Overall, I'd expect more from Hampton Inn , and it wasn't great value for money.

When checking in we were not told of the complimentary breakfast nor were we given an Internet access code. My husband had to go to the front desk twice to get the code. The room was clean; plenty of towels in the bathroom, but the water from the tap had the most awful odor. The bed was very comfortable and they had a great TV selection. The breakfast was not the best - chipped beef on a biscuit and presto eggs. There was coffee, juice and a pastry of course. This Hampton is in a wonderful shopping location – small malls on same block and several major malls across the expressway. There are several restaurants within walking distance such as Olive Garden, On the Border, Macaroni Gill on the same block and many others close by.
