Typical of why I stay in Hamptons - you know what to expect - clean, comfortable and a good hearty breakfast. This one's hot entrees included sausage and waffles. Easy to get to if you make the second right into the gas station across from it (if on the wrong side of the wall. Make immediate left out of station to traffic light and turn left - now you're on the right side! They have a printed sheet of all area restaurants and how many stoplights they are from the hotel. Outback, Red Lobster, among others.

Clean, quiet, newly refurbished, friendly staff, great breakfast. Very hard to enter and leave property, but explicit instructions provided. Ask for wireless hookup at the front desk. About 20 minutes from the airport if traffic cooperates. High potential for slow downs. Applebee's, a mediocre Chinese buffet, and a Boston Market are within a few stoplights. Once you get out of the parking lot, much of Pittsburgh is readily accessible. Interstates are just minutes away, but without instructions - you would never find them!

The previous review is correct that it's not the world's finest location and there's no walking anywhere on this very busy street. However, for a Hampton Inn, this is definitely a cut above. My wife and I had to be in Pittsburgh on short notice for a night, and we booked there. The facility has obviously been recently remodeled and there are nice touches in both the rooms and public areas (the breakfast area is particualrly spacious). Large bathrooms and the rooms are larger than normal. Very good value for the money. It's not luxury, but if all you need is a place to lay your head, you'll do well here.

Pretty much everything you expect and a reasonable rate. The location is only so-so, but if you need to be in that area, there aren't lots of hotels to choose from and this is probably the best choice unless you need a full service hotel (there's a Holiday Inn a mile or two down the road).
Clean, great breakfast, good workout center, and everything worked except for the do-not-disturb signs, which (by hotel policy, I'm told) don't seem to prevent the housekeeper from knocking on your door at 9am.
This would not be a good location if you don't have a car - very busy, divided highway and no restaurants you can walk to without risking your life.
