We spent one night at this Hampton Inn while enroute from Springfield to north central Illinois. The location is good if you plan to drive north from the Peoria area, and it's also convenient to the airport and downtown Peoria (although just across the river.) The hotel itself is relatively new, and well maintained. The rooms were nice, clean and fairly spacious. Breakfast was good with more than just rolls and cereal and they have coffee and drinks available at all times and fresh baked cookies in the late afternoon and evening. Staff were very nice and helpful in guiding us to restaurants in the area. There is nothing within walking distance of the hotel though except for the Pair-a-dice casino and hotel that share the parking area and entrance off the main road with the Hampton. We did drive to a restaurant on the river, Granite City Grill, which was enjoyable. Overall, it was a pleasant stop for an overnight on a road trip. Much nicer place than the Fairfield we stayed at in Champaign the next night (see that review.)

We stayed here one night while moving our daughter in to an apartment for a summer internship at Caterpillar. The location was good and the hotel was fine. Check in was quick and efficient. The room was clean and the water pressure in the shower was much better than the typical hotel. I was please to note that Hampton is now providing shower gel along with the other toiletries. I would stay here again if I was in the area.

Good place for an overnighter. The property does show its age a little yet it is clean and fairly well maintained overall. The staff was great! Very helpful and accomodating. Something had been spilled on the carpeting in my original room making it somewhat sticky. The front desk immediately moved me to a room a couple of doors down. The pool area was very clean and the kids were happy with the warm temperature of the water. I always look forward to the Hilton beds and the mattress was great at this location. The comforter was a little disapointing as it was lumpy from being washed, not the fluffy version I have come to expect from a Hilton property. Not a huge deal. Complementary breakfast in the morning had a good variety of basic fare and kept clean and wll stocked. I would stay here again.

Great clean modern hotel within walking distance to casino/restaurants/river! Super quick check in. Clean, modern rooms with nice pillows, bedding, bathroom. Great free breakfast in the morning. Nice lobby area with big TV and sofas. Compter in lobby with free access to internet or free wifi internet access in your room (if you bring your laptop). Overall a nice stay. Would definately stay here again for the price and location.

Just returned from a stay June 8th. We've stayed in E. Peoria several times over the past 3 years to attend athletic events at Eastside Center. We typically stay at the Holiday Inn Express, but it was booked so we opted for the Hampton Inn. Seemed comparable to HIE except that the breakfast at Hampton had more variety and the woman that was serving as the hostess during breakfast was very attentive to keeping food stocked as well as was super-nice. Room/bathroom was clean, beds were good... overall one of the better options on the East side of the river.
