This little hot spot is simply the best value in Bishop and surrounding area. Clean rooms, great staff and the nicest on site manager, Bobbi Dore, that anyone could hope to meet. Give it a try you won't be sorry.

Me and my husband stayed at this motel for 3 nights. This was during Bishop's Car Show and Fall Colors events. We were in town for the fall colors, hiking and fishing. When we checked in, I found the person at the counter to be indifferent. I have requested, when I made the reservation, for a quiet room. When I asked the woman at the counter about the laundry room and maid's supply room being next door to my room, she flat out told me that ALL the rooms in the motel were quiet. She looked obviously too tired to be at the counter.
There were a lot of classic automobiles parked in the motel parking lot for the car show. Althought, the motel was completely booked, everything, including parking and breakfast, went smoothly. We had a second floor room and found the place to be relatively quiet. There was some noise from the laundry room below, and noise from cars and motorcycles in the morning. The continental breakfast was typical - waffle maker, hard boil eggs, bagels, fruit, toast, cereal, coffee, and milk.
The room was average. The bed was OK. In terms of cleanliness, it was average to fair. When we first walked in, I can see that the maid did not wipe down the bathroom sink counter, and the bed looked as if someone had already sat on it. Everything in the room was in working order. There was a facility for cleaning and freezing fish. The motel allow dogs which I am not fond of.
The name of the motel is a bit misleading. It is not a spa type hotel. There is a pool and a hot tub. The hot tub it is located indoors nearby but not next to the pool.

We spent one night here on our way up to Lake Tahoe to go skiing for New Year's Eve. The hotel is currently undergoing renovation and the staff were nice, but we ran into some serious problems in the 8 hours we were there. The room was nice and enough and clean - however, the ice machines weren't working and worst of all - my husband tried to take a shower at 8 am the next morning, only to find there was no more hot water. When we reported this to the hotel desk at checkout (he took a cold shower) they shrugged and said "yeah, it happens." Not even an apology. I would recommend staying at this property only if there is no other one available in Bishop.
OK for a stopover

We stayed here as an overnight break between Yosemite and Death Valley/Las Vegas. Therefore, it's a really great location.
The hotel itself has ample free parking. The room we had was on the second floor (first floor to Europeans) and there was no elevator to help us with our luggage so we had to carry it up. No big deal. Inside there was a small kitchenette at the back with fridge and microwave, which was quite useful. All the rest of the facilities were also there. The room was clean and we didn't see anything wrong with the room we had.
In the lobby, which is also where the fairly decent breakfast is served, free internet access is provided which is really useful.
Within walking distance of the hotel are several restaurants and a Subway if you need to get a sandwich to take with you on your travels.
