My husband and I stayed at this Hampton Inn this past weekend while attending a Clinton Anderson Downunder Horsemanship event at the Agriculture Center on Germantown Road. Special rates were given to those attending the event, which we appreciated. The location was great, rooms were clean and quiet, staff was friendly and helpful and breakfast was great. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting E. Memphis area.

This hotel needs updating.
Old Hampton Inn beds. No pictures hung on the walls. Old TV. Maintenance issues all over the room and bathroom. Just rough around the edges.
I live in Memphis. My wife and I moved and we needed to stay at a hotel for a few nights while we began sorting through all the stuff in our home. Needless to say, with a plethora of Hampton Inns in Memphis, I will stay at others if I need a room or need to direct friends, family or colleagues/clients to a Hilton hotel. If you need to go to Baptist hospital, I recommend staying here. If not, try another Hampton, including the Inn and Suites off poplar, the Hampton Inn East Memphis on Poplar, the Inn and Suites in Bartlett, the Hampton downtown, etc. For non-Hampton, the Hilton, Doubletree and Embassy Suites are all relatively close to each other. Downtown, you are left with the Doubletree and the Hampton.
The hotel didn't do anything wrong ... but there are better properties in Memphis, and until they freshen this place up to the new Hampton model, I'll recommend that travelers stay elsewhere.

I recently stayed a night while passing through Memphis at the Hampton Inn by Baptist Hospital. It was perfectly nice, and along the lines of all the other Hampton's I've stayed in. In addition to being adjacent to the Baptist Hospital, there's also a gas station, Wendy's and Quizno's within a short walk.
The room was clean, just as advertised and checkin/checkout was a breeze. The high speed internet access worked fine, and the hot breakfast was just as expected. Plenty of choices: sausage, french toast sticks, oatmeal, and numerous breads, juices and cereals made for a great refresher before checking out. Definitely recommended!

We stayed at this hotel a few days ago, and it is the first time I have been disappointed by a Hampton Inn. We had to wait 25 minutes beyond regular check-in time because the housekeeping staff was not finished cleaning rooms yet, and the front desk couldn't even get housekeeping to answer the phone to find out when they would be done. The sink in our room was not draining properly and when I called the front desk about this, the assistant manager came to our room, checked it, and told us the water was supposed to drain slowly??? We never did get a full complement of towels, the baseboards in the bathroom were missing, and there was mold around the tub. The hotel is undergoing renovation and workmen were everywhere, as was sheetrock dust. Not a good place for allergy sufferers for a number of reasons. It might have been nice to know of the renovation before we got there. This is also the highest priced Hampton in which my husband and I have ever stayed. Roads around the hotel are also under construction at this time, making it difficult to approach right now.

This hotel is undergoing a renovation, so it had the new signage and new bedding that the newer Hamptons have, but the bathroom was not done yet, and it still had a slightly undone look to the room. Most importantly, we found a large roach in the bathroom. We told the front desk about it, and they were going to have maintenance do something about it.
