We're a family of four. This Hampton did everything right - checking in was speedy, we had room keys within two minutes of walking in the front door, the room was spotlessly clean, as were the halls and common areas; the place was quiet at night and offered a great breakfast in the morning. The wireless internet connection was steady and reliable. We had a room with two double beds - as with other Hamptons we've stayed at, these beds were among the best we've ever slept on - soft but not mushy - we all woke up late from having slept so well and had none of that "hotel bed soreness" that we sometimes suffer after a night at other places. (PS, we do not work for Hampton or their parent Hilton or anyone connected with them; we just really loved the beds.) Best of all was the staff. Everyone we dealt with, from the desk folks to the lady who served breakfast, to the lady who cleaned the room - all of them were remarkably kind. To them, we were family. They all went the second mile to ensure we had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. And so it was!

This was a good Hampton. I did not find the problems that the other reviewer commented on. In fact, I discussed it with the current manager, Stacy. After Katrina, the hotel was at 100% occupancy all the time. The hotel was hit hard and showed the signs. However, I could see no signs of any damage and abuse. It was clean, quite and well maintained. The only problem was the air conditioner on the third floor hall was "out". Stacy said that there had been ongoing issues with the air conditioners since the storm. He had in fact ordered 2 that morning. In short, I hate to disagree with the last reviewer. However, I must. This was good to better for most Hampton Inns. Will stay there again!

I used to stay at this hotel quite frequently. The Hotel Manager was a young gentleman who was quite courteous in seeing to it that any and all of our needs were met. Apparently, the company has replaced the young manager with an older manager who could take a lesson from his younger predecessor. His name is Leo Sonnier and he is completely incompotant. He treated us not as customers but rather as second-class citizens. I was quite disappointed with the level of service he and some of the staff members showed us and I will not be returning.
