We usually choose to stay at a Hampton Inn because we can rely on them being clean and having good service. This one did not disappoint. The front desk was friendly and helpful no matter what time of day or night we walked by. Checking in was a breeze and in no time we had our room. It was #303 at the end of the hall. It was mostly quiet, we heard a door close occasionally but that didn't bother us. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. We didn't take advantage of the pool but there was someone in it from the time it opened until it closed. The area looked nice and clean from the hallway and the water looked clean also. The breakfast area was kept clean and had a decent selection of foods. It was also larger than I expected. Parking was at a premium though so that would be the only drawback that I can see about the hotel. There are a number of restaurants within walking distance to the hotel.

Clean and quiet, room seemed recently updated with updated linens. Good size room with table and chair, comfortable bed, plenty of lighting options. Nice size bathroom, no make-up mirror. Good location relative to restaurants and loop.

The manager of the hotel seem to be more interested in hitting on me than taking care of my professional needs. I am a married man, when I told her I was married she said your wife is 600 miles away, she will never know.

We stopped in Lubbock on our springbreak trip and stayed at the Hampton Inn. Our car was broken into and most of our belongings were stolen . We later learned that our friends' car was broken into in the same lot a year ago. You better have good insurance -- the Hampton Inn will not cover you.

There's nothing blatantly wrong with this hotel... I've just stayed in many newer Hamptons that make this one seem outdated.
My room was mostly clean (the comforter really needed to be washed). The bed was excellent, and the shower was good, but the A/C was old and made rattling noises.
I didn't like the room layout -- I like to use my laptop at a desk or table where I can see the TV. That wasn't possible in this room, I had to sit on the couch to see the TV. The wireless internet service was very good.
Breakfast was typical for Hampton -- biscuits and gravy, muffins, toast, etc. The hotel location is very good, close to many restaurants but far enough from the highway to be very quiet.
If you can afford the rate difference, I'd strongly recommend the Embassy Suites over the Hampton. Lubbock's Embassy is one of the nicest in the chain.
