The first impression of this hotel was very favorable, with a rehabbed lobby and a very friendly desk clerk. But the rooms are another story. This is a tired, old hotel. My bathroom door would not close all the way, the toilet was not bolted to the floor (lots of fun!), and the AC would turn off with a loud CLUNK when it finished its cycle. You can do much better than this in Killeen.

Stayed here during the trip to the Final Four. My cousin is stationed at Fort Hood, so it only made sense to stay here on the off-days of the tournament.
This Hampton was stationed in a very good area with shopping and plenty of restaurants around to visit.
Staff was friendly and were very helpful with more towels and a forgotten toothbush and toothpaste.

Located directly off the highway about 10 minutes from Ft. Hood right in the center of anything you might need to do while you stay in town. Quality restaurants and bars, mall and shopping centers all within walking distance. Clean comfortable rooms and a staff that will go beyond normal efforts to assist you during your stay. Breakfast was not top of the line, (great coffee),but not that big of an issue. For the price, this is what I expect for my money and they delivered. Thanks to the great staff, you made my stay pleasurable.

My first impression of the hotel as I walked into the room was the bed... crisp white coverlet and it looked fluffy and inviting. Well it was just like it looked... the bed was the best I've ever slept in in a hotel. That alone will bring me back to the Hyatt line as I understand all their hotels are getting this special order bed.
Breakfast was great with a daily variety.
From Monday through Wednesday they do an afterwork spread from local restaurants. No complaints at all from me. Vast quantities and very tasty.
The room was roomy (I had a king). Better than average size I guess.
The only thing I'd really change is having a guest use laundry... when you travel and work outdoors in Texas that would be a plus.
