We stayed here for a night during New Year's Eve. The hotel is a good price for the distance it is away from downtown. The rooms do not keep out a lot of noise from the outside, but they really should not have the need to. I wish more people would be more considerate of others trying to sleep and not spend all night talking in the hallways. We complained to the staff during checkout and they comped the night for us. I appreciate them looking out for the customer.

Family stays here often

My kids (son 5 yrs, daughter 19 mos) & I have stayed here several times, as have my brother and father (they often stay here for the Daytona Nascar races). For us it is a stopping point on the way to Disney World, leaving only about 2.5-3 hrs left to drive.
I stayed here back in Sept. and noticed the rooms had been redone (new bed linens, decor, etc). I didn't notice any dampness, but hey, it is Florida. My son (then 4 yrs old) enjoyed the pool, and both kids enjoyed the afternoon cookies. The staff has always been wonderful, as has the breakfast bar. Many of the staff know my father by his first name since he stays here so often.
It is a great location right off the interstate with a mall (movie theater and kids' play area too) and many restaurants nearby, some within walking distance. We will be staying here again in about a week on our way to Disney World. My dad and brother will also be here for the Daytona 500.
Great Location, Staff, and facility.

We live in California and travel a lot and generally stay in Hilton Brand properties. We always search for reviews when available.
We were going to visit our newborn grand daughter in Orange Park, Fl. and wanted to be close. The reviews on the Hampton Inn Orange Park weren't flattering but knowing it was a Hilton brand I felt the problems must have been addressed.
We checked into another Hampton Inn Jacksonville first and while in Orange park visiting we stopped by the Hampton-Orange Park and introduced ourselves to the manager Made' and front desk clerk Crystal.
I explained to them our concerns and why we hadn't booked there and he offered to show us a room. It was clean, updated, and there were no signs of dampness or moisture.
We ended up booking here, staying five nights, and were real happy with the great location, staff, and facility. Additionally, the breakfast each morning was great and the afternoon cookies were addicting.
We plan on booking here in the near future and as long as our kids are stationed in the area.

Overall is a nice hotel, staff was friendly. The hotel room needs better ventilation as it's damp in the room which attract bugs. Breakfast is sufficient. Afternoon cookies great for kids. Daily free newspaper. Very convenient location with shops, restaurants and theatre. Easy highway access.
