The hotel staff were absolutely wonderful, friendly and helpful. I had absolutely no complaints there.
There was a thunderstorm in the area and the hotel lost power for about 2 1/2 hours (9pm to 11:30pm), so we had no lights, no AC, and no running water during that time. Though it was not the hotel's fault, they did little to offset the problem.
The room was comfy and clean enough however, and probably would've been worth the price if not for the outage.

I have always trusted Hampton Inn and my stay in Sturgis confirmed that.
Check in was friendly, fast, and thorough. My room was very clean (including the bathroom), the king bed was very comfortable, and the free wireless high high speed internet was easy to use.
The hot breakfast buffet was very good (and complimentary) with a wide selection of cereals, fruits, beverages, and each day there was something a little different: french toast, ham and eggs, sausage gravy or bagel toppers.
Warm freshly baked cookies were served each afternoon with a very personal touch.
When business brings me back to Sturgis, I will definitely stay at the Hampton Inn.

While the hotel itself was very clean, and the room furnishings seemed newer, I got very little sleep during my stay at the Sturgis Hampton. The hotel is close to the Indiana Tollway, as well as being on a main road from Sturgis to LaGrange, IN, so I heard traffic most of the night. Also, the heater in my room made strange sounds all night, even when I turned it off. Finally, I was woken up early the next morning when the person in the room above me walked around his room, and I could hear his every step.
On the positive side, the hotel has a nice fitness room, the front desk staff was very pleasant, and the breakfast in the morning was quite good... plenty of options. The other hotels in the same area are all close to the Tollway as well, so I don't know if I'd find a quieter place, but I was disappointed that I didn't get a good night's sleep.

I stayed at this location in November 2005. You’re going to love it. They have some of the nicest people in the hotel industry. It’s a relatively new hotel and it is well maintained. The poll is average size for a Hampton and the Health club is small but adequate. We were greeted with a warm welcome. They have high speed internet ( for free) and will even provide hardware if you don’t have it with you for wireless access. The breakfast includes bisects and gravy, cereals, oatmeal, cereal, bagles, juice, a chice of coffees and juices. Evenings include milk and fresh baked cookies. If you don’t have time for breakfast they will even provide a bagged contentinal.
