Family stay with 2 kids. Rooms were clean but not too big. It was a busy night and the hotel was noisy. Lots of restaurant choices nearby. Expensive for the area and would probably stay elsewhere next time.

We just stayed here on our way home from Hilton Head. The hotel needs to be updated, badly. The beds have been updated, but that is it. Although they are only doubles and most Hamptons now have 2 queens. The door is not automatic, so for travelers with luggage and children, it was very difficult. The bathrooms also need a lot of work. There was water damage on the ceiling of our shower so much so that the ceiling was bowing down, and the bathroom itself was very old. Also, in every Hampton I have stayed at, there have been refrigerators in the rooms, this one did not have friges in the rooms. I guess for a place to lay your head it was fine, but we would probably look elsewhere nexttime.

We made a stop over in Beckley on our way to the bristol race.
The hampton was an excellent choice. I would definetly stay there again. The staff was friendly and the rooms were very clean. There were plenty of restraunts in the area to choose from.

If a good clean room is what you are looking for stay here. Be careful because the majority of the hotels accept pets. I DID NOT want to stay where pets are accepted. Winterplace is about 15-20 mins away, easy drive. Restaurants are close and some in walking distance. Breakfast is good, had sausage and gravy biscuits one day and then other typical foods. Beds are good but if you have a choice, choose a queen, the doubles seem smaller then regular doubles. The water pressure was a little light but other then that if you are looking for a clean room on the newer side, stay here. Check in was very smooth. Rooms are smaller but like I said they are very clean. They keep a luggage rack in the armoire so dont overlook it like we did and discover it at the end of your trip. They do have alot of church retreats in this area so ask for a room in a quiet location.
