We stayed at the Hampton during "Beer Week". We can not say enough about the hotel and staff. Both were "above and beyond" our expectations. Clean rooms, exceptional staff, and great location. Due to my "hotel standards" we generally stay at Hamptons. This hotel is without a doubt one of the best we have ever stayed. Our only regret is that there is not more reasons to bring us back to the Athens Hampton Inn.

Clean, comfortable, quiet, quite new........everything was just as we had hoped. Hot breakfast although the egg/potato/cheese concoction was "strange" and not terribly edible. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I'm a Hilton fan and was in Columbus on business. A grandchild took us to Athens for a first visit. The Hampton is a real tribute to the Hilton family. The hotel is spotless, the young staff displayed flawless service, the rooms were welcoming and the community held many surprises. After chatting with the manager, a former hotel inspector, I see why every moment of my stay was so pleasant. I look forward to my next visit and will find myself comparing other Hamptons to this "gem" in Athens.

Overall, the hotel is nice because it is new. The staff was unfriendly and made me feel as if I were bothering them each time I had a request. The beds were comfortable but that didn't make up for the rude staff. I like to feel welcome and at home in a hotel, the Hampton did not provide this feeling.
