I normally stay at Hampton Inns - because of the bedding, cleanliness, service, and breakfast. I was happy with the overall experience of the hotel.
Likes: Bed was comfortable, Service was good (even though I got bumped into a double room when I reserved a King), Location is great- very close to Malls, Restaurants, and Highway (20 min to Downtown Atlanta), Free Parking.
Dislikes: Business Center felt congested, "Hot" breakfast was not tasty - more like rubber, Bathroom is small, Furniture and Carpeting seemed a bit old.
Other than that, my overall stay was very good. The staff was very friendly and the rooms overall were good. I would try another Hampton Inn if I came to the Atlanta area again.

Bad beds and thin walls.

Cons: Paper thin walls. All traffic can be heard, and the sounds from adjoining rooms and the hallway sounds.
The beds had poor mattresses. I don't think our room had the new Hampton Inn mattress; the mattress was both hard and saggy.
Pros: Good staff who seemed eager to please guests.

I stayed at the Hampton for 5 nights in December while working in the area. This is an older Hampton that's been updated to some degree. The rooms are not large enough to accomodate all of the furniture that is used in the newer Hamptons so the sofa in my room was angled, making the layout crowded. The hallways are showing their age and are in need of upgrade.
The standard Hampton amenities are available. The breakfast was standard but the breakfast area was somewhat small.
My company paid $179 per night for this hotel, which is very high since it's about 20 minutes to downtown Atlanta.

My Mom and I stayed here as we were in town to see a Barry Manilow concert. The concert was cancelled because of snow/ice (which by the way, the city of Atlanta shuts down for this type of weather!!). We still had a good time despite the circumstances. Our room was very clean and very nice. There were plenty of towels, tolietries, etc. The free internet in room and in the lobby was very nice as we could print maps to the local malls. The staff was friendly. We made friends with the breakfast clerk, Rhea. She was the nicest person and very thoughtful. She asked how our stay was and was sincere about it. We will stay here again in March 2008 as that is when the concert has been rescheduled to.

Was a little worried when I entered the slightly outdated decor of the lobby but when I entered my room I decided everything was going to be fine. The room and bathroom looked clean and updated. The bed was comfy. My room faced the parking lot and was very quiet. As with all Hampton Inns, a decent continental breakfast was provided and weekday USA Todays are provided. The location isn't anywhere special and is in a quieter suburban part of Atlanta. It was approximately 25 minutes from the airport and less than 7 minutes to the MARTA (train) station.
