This hotel is a very new 4-star hotel located some 300 m. from downtown and some 200 m. from the main bus station (where you can catch the bus to the airport).
The front desk staff is very helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfast buffet is better than average. It is a very good option for budget-concious travellers who do not mind to walk a little bit to reach the main attractions.

Like others have said, it's clean, we paid $117 for it via Expedia, it has its own garage (though at an extra ?16 per night a bit overpriced maybe), but the web access at ?2 per 15 minutes was a joke: I just wanted to check in for my flight back home, but the machine did not even have Acrobat installed (which is required for printing the boarding pass, at least in the case of Lufthansa), to say nothing of Flash, without which you cannot pick your seats (again, this might be LH-specific?). Also the AC/ventillation in #501 was way too noisy for a four-star experience, in fact it was not so much the decibel level as the lowness of the sound it made. Still, with the dollar worth what it is, not a bad deal.

This hotel was the first accommodation we had booked in Spain and after that we tracked down other hotels within the Zenit chain. They are modern, reasonably priced, very clean and good location. We thought this might have been too far out when we looked at the map but upon asking at reception they directed us to turn at the next corner and we found the Gugenheim was only a ten minute walk away. Would reccomend!

We booked to go to Bilbao for our wedding anniversary at the end of April. We have stayed previously in a Zenit hotel (Zenit Hotel Barcelona) and knew that the rooms could be small. However, on this occasion we were very pleasantly surprised to find our room was large and spacious with plenty of cupboard space for all my husbands clothes and a large bathroom. We heard no noise from other guests as I believe the rooms in Zenit hotels are soundproofed and our room was at the back of the hotel on the top floor. The room also had the added benefit of a large terrace but, disappointingly there wasn’t any outdoor furniture. It would have had to be waterproof though as it rained most of our stay except for one afternoon/evening.
A word of warning though the television decided that it didn’t like the desk and totally destroyed it; this almost caused my husbands death by frightening the living daylights out of him. After informing reception a new home was made for the television and as recompense a bottle of Cava and a lovely cake was left in our room.
The room was spotlessly cleaned daily, reception staff where very helpful and nice. Breakfast was included in the price we paid and it was superb although we were a little disappointed that there was no tortilla but hey you can’t have everything.
We visited the Guggenheim, went on the Funicular and went to have a look at the transporter bridge. Café Bar Bilbao is worth a visit in the old town in Plaza Nueva. It has a good vibe and some excellent pintxos.
Overall an excellent break.

This hotel is fine, not as nice as it appears on the sites, but it is fine and it is clean. The staff, though are not friendly or particularly helpful and there are better located hotels for a two day stay in Bilbao at the same price.
