Hotel is on bayside and not walking distance to casino's. The hotel has not been updated for a while but my room was clean. Breakfast was the standard continental Hampton fare. Price was significantly lower than casino's.

My b/f and I planned a weekend getaway to New jersey for his b-day and I chose this hampton inn for us to stay at. I noticed there was a hampton down on white horse pike but we didn't want to stay in town as atlantic city wasn't the highlight of our trip. We do quite a bit of traveling and we've stayed at quite a few hampton's and they all live up to the expectation we have of the hotel chain so I figured this one wouldn't be any different. I was definitely right because it was great. The guy at the front desk was so nice and definitely made us feel very welcome. Our room was big and cozy. It was very clean and tidy as well. we definitely recommend this hotel if you're looking for a place to stay outside of the big city.

My wife and I just stayed at the Hampton Inn Bayside for one night over this past weekend. I must admit that I had some trepidation in making this reservation after reading all of the reviews. They were quite mixed to say the least. However, after an exhaustive look at all the hotel and motel reviews, I could not find any without a blemish. Since we stayed on a Saturday night, I was not interested in paying a huge premium to stay downtown or at one of the casino properties. The basic criteria on my list included cleanliness, price, and promixity to the casinos.
The Hampton Inn satisfied all of our requirements. While it is not in a lovely neighborhood, there is nothing inherently bad about the neighborhood either. The hotel lobby was clean as was our room. We found no evidence of dirty carpets, dirty sheets or towels, poor HVAC, etc. While not 4 star quality, everything seemed fine for our purposes. The location is convenient to the casinos and the Hampton offers a taxi service for $7 one way for those who prefer not to drive. The breakfast buffet was adequate. While billed as a "hot buffet", the eggs were pretty awful and sausage a bit overcooked. Everything else was fine. In summary, the Hampton Inn Bayside offers good value for the location and we would stay there again.
No problems, it was fine for out short stay.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn, West Atlantic City for a one night stay on a Saturday night. The Hilton HHonors rep suggested this hotel since they were unable to book us a room at the Hilton on the boardwalk. Plus the fact , I really didn't want to pay hundreds of dollars for a room for a few hours.
Since it was off the boardwalk, and having heard some horror stories concerning this strip of hotels, I was a bit nervous. The Hampton Inn was fine. My room was clean, we had a small fridge, microwave, and the bed was comfy.
The boardwalk is a short car ride away, they do offer a shuttle ride if you prefer not to drive. In the morning a free breakfast is available if your interested. Check inn was fast and the desk clerks are friendly.
I would stay here again if I planned on going back to Atlantic City overnight on a weekend. Not to worry this hotel is a good alternative to staying on the boardwalk and is good for families.
Since the new smoking law that went into effect in the casinos, I doubt if I will return for a long visit.

The Hampton Inn, Atlantic City - Bayside was just average. Decent alternative for one or two nights. Check In/Out was quick and efficient. The room was clean, and the staff was pleasant.
I was a little dissapointed, the room was nothing like what I was expected, furniture, bedding and bathroom needs to be update. The area is not that nice, but it is a short drive to the Casinos. Overall this hotel is OK.
