The room was very nice and it was very quiet. There were a couple of problems though. The first time we went to the jacuzzi area we were nearly knocked down by the intense chlorine smell and one of the staff kept coming in there and would just stare at us. It wasn't just once or twice it was more like 15 times in a 30 minute period. The next time we dared go to the jacuzzi we were approached by a policeman who told us that someone had called 911 from the pool area and he asked us if we had made the call. When we first walked in a staff member was cleaning the windows but there was no one else in there.......It's a bit irritating because it makes me wonder what people are thinking about......If we had made a fake call to 911 and being that we were the only two people in there after the staff member left it just makes all the sense in the world that we would wait around for the police to show up...HELLO??? And then after the policeman left the staring staff member was back and forth through there again...and again....and again....
We also had a late checkout time of 2pm so around noon we went to get something to eat and when we returned our keys wouldn't work. When we took our luggage out to the car we went out the side entrance because that was where our car was parked and as we were loading the car we noticed that the staring staff member had come outside and was staring at us yet again...It was extremely creepy and very rude. We will not be staying at This Hampton Inn ever again!!!

We travel often and stay in great places, but often find little help at the registration desk. J at the desk here was enormously helpful and efficient and that kind of service got us off to a great start. The room was pristine. It had a comfy sofa, stuffed chair and ottoman, at least five lamps with bright lights, desk, good tv, refrigerator that was actually very cold, a microwave, lots of mirrors, and a well-appointed granite bathroom with a fan. The bed was the best part--excellent--crisp sheets, substantial mattress and pillows (plenty of them). The one thing Hampton should do is put actual mugs and glasses in their rooms. Breakfast was very substantial and the location was very beneficial to us. We'll be back!

Booked a non-smoking room 6 weeks prior for 3 nights. Arrived about 10pm, checked in, was asked to initial a statement informing me that it would cost $200 extra if I smoked in the room. As soon as I opened the door the stench hit me, went back to the desk and was informed that all the rooms were booked. Went next door the an adjoining hotel and they were booked also, so I had no choice but to stay. Went to the manager 1st thing the next morning and he also told me all the rooms were booked for that night also, I informed him that I requested a nonsmoking room but he stated he could do nothing about it because they overbooked the hotel. I checked out and went to another hotel. While waiting out front for the bus another guest told me that he arrived the night before also and requested a smoking room but was given a nonsmoking room and offered to swap with me but I told him I had already checked out and made reservations somewhere else. I've stayed at Hampton Inns several times before but never again.

Stayed here two nights in January while visiting the city. Location is good, easy on and off the highway, yet, no highway noise.
Stayed in smoking room, and found it to be much less smoke smelling than most smoking rooms in other hotels.
Bed was clean, comfortable and room was very clean.
Continental breakfast was plentiful for all guests, nothing outstanding, but good.
On our second night there, we arrived to the hotel late after an evening out with friends. We were awakened a two hours later by the fire alarm which necessitated evacuation of the hotel. We were directed to the hotel next door, if you couldn't stand the alarm sounding in the lobby. We were out of our room a couple hours due to this unfortunate incident, caused by foolish patrons on our floor who had a fire extinguisher fight in the hall way. At just after six we were allowed back to our floor. The night clerk was extremly courteous and professional throughout the event. The manager that arrived to assit, was seen vacuuming up the hall after deemed safe by the fire department. The kitchen put out coffee first, and then breakfast early to help make the evacuated guests a bit more comfortable. We went back to our room and packed up and headed home before daylight.
I contacted the hotel and was treated very well by customer service staff, and was credited a nights stay for the inconvienece and lack of a nights sleep.
I was treated well, accommodations were good, and I will be back!
