A poor stay after 5 months from my wife
Guest name: skunkIraq, iraq
Hello to anyone who may read this, I am a happlily married (NCO) SGT. in the U.S. Army home on leave from a place called LSA, Anaconda, Iraq. I came home on leave to have some quality time with my wounderfull wife, before having to return for about six months.
Some so called freinds had told me that I could get a good military discount on a room with a hot tub in the room So I jumped at it thinking that I could really impress her with the room , flowers, good time alone, and even teach her to swim having fun.
To my surprize sure the discount was ok , although one of the cleaning ladies didnt even clean the bathroom one of the days of our stay, Now my wife enjoyed the smell of Stetson as she also does on me so she would spray some in the room to turn up the heat if you will as we have not seen each other in five months. She also enjoys the smell of a citrus candle, as you would think there is a little smoke when you blow it out, also my job in Iraq is very dangerous and has got me smoking a LOT although all smoking was done outside as it was a nosmokeing room. After paying $750.00 for our stay she was charged a $100.00 charge for smoking in the room that we did not. So now $850.00, I was instructed to discuss this matter with the manerger, his response was of that we were wrong and not willing to listen to reason, I explained to him that I am curently serving as active duty in Iraq doing a exteramly dangerous job and would just like him to listen to reason which he would not. I then explained to him I think he owes me at least that as being a soldier fighting for the freedom of our country , he seemed to act as that ment nothing to him , also the laundry room was over our room and my wife and I had a headach the entire stay that also ment nothing to him as it could not be proved. The pools are not heated as there is a large temp change from Iraq to here, there are no coffee pots in the rooms, so in the morning if you would like some you have to walk to the main building as our room was in the next building to the north of the main.
So in closing if you are looking for a sweet time with a loved one I certinly would NOT recomend this place where buisness men are treated much better than the soliders fighting for our country.
From a very concerned Solider!

Stayed here 5th of september. Was driving through and needed place to stay, was late and couldn't drive any more. Price was decent. Nice continental breakfast. Pool area in main building was nice with tables to sit just outside of enclosed pool area. Pool has sauna and hot tub. Not sure if sauna worked. it wasn't on, couldn't stay much longer, didn't check to see if it was working. Pool area showing some signs of age, but still nice.
Stayed in adjacent building. Was secure with cards to get into building from outside, also pool areas in both buildings. Motel room was ok. Motel says it has wireless internet, but found out after checking in only dial up is available in adjacent building.
Would stay again without any doubts, Fairly modern, decent price.

This would be a great hotel if it was upgraded and the staff was properly trained. The people at the front desk were very rude not just to me but to everyone. Our bath sink stayed stopped up for 2 days and the cleaning lady just cleaned around the problem. The air condition was not working in the sitting area and halls were very hot and smelled. I would not recommend this hotel until it has under gone massive upgrades and customer service training.

I recently stayed two nights at this hotel. Although a few aspects were average, I gave an excellent rating because of the value and complimentary shuttle service.
Because I was in Milwaukee to attend a conference at Alverno College, I paid the hotel's Alverno rate of $65 per night. I got a spacious suite with two TVs (one in the living room area and one in the bedroom), a microwave, and a small refrigerator. A high-speed, wireless internet connection was free--connection to the network did not require going through a hotel web portal (common at a lot of hotels these days) or any other extra steps.
The suite's condition was certainly not new--there were a few dings and scuff marks on the walls, but the overall condition was far better than you would usually expect in this price range.
The hotel's location was extremely convenient for me. It is fairly close to the airport, though not close enough to be annoyed by airport-related noise. It is also close to the college campus I was visiting. The hotel is not in an upscale area, but the location is not one to cause concern. A colleague stayed in a suite on the opposite side, and he said he could hear the highway noise rather easily; that was not the case in my suite.
A free breakfast was included. Coffee, juice, milk, a few types of cold cereal, toast (white and whole wheat), yogurt, fresh fruit, and doughnuts were available. The morning newspaper is also provided for free.
I saw one of the two indoor swimming pools, and it looked quite nice. I did not see the exercise equipment--I was told that they only had a few cardio machines.
I was extremely impressed by the complimentary shuttle service. Not only did I get free transportation to and from the airport, but also to the college campus and to a restaurant both evenings. One of the drivers said that they'd be happy to take me anywhere: shopping, tourist destinations, etc. The shuttle is available 24 hours, 7 days a week. I never had to wait more than a few minutes for the hotel's van.
I was extremely happy with my experience at the Hospitality Inn. If I ever need to stay in that part of Milwaukee again, I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Two Experiences - Horrible and Great

This hotel had its good points - but the experience was almost the worst one of our lives. We were originally put in a first-floor room in the small building next to the main building. We quickly became aware of LOUD music. We knew there was a wedding reception going on because of the people hanging-out smoking outside the building. But I couldn't believe it was so loud. We could hear every word of the songs coming from an obviously live band. The room was shaking. So my hubby went to find out where it was being held. We found out it was DIRECTLY under us. They have a banquet hall directly under the first floor of that building. The lady at the desk said they were booked until 11pm. We had a 6am flight - so I knew the kids needed sleep. So I told the girl she needed to move us. The good news? She did! She moved us to a nice suite in the main building - way up high. It was quiet and they didn't charge us extra. Overall it was clean - except the sheets on the pull-out couch were not changed - we had that taken care of as well. The people were friendly. The area was not great. The price was not great but apparently it was par for the area. They do have a 24-hour free shuttle to the airport. Overall - it turned out to be a nice stay that could have been disasterous. I felt sorry for the elderly couple who were checking into a room across the hall from my original room.
