we arrived at the villa flamenca on sunday the 15th of june, we stayed for a week. we found the accomodation to be more than satisfactory, we had a large balcony and a good sized room. It was cleaned every day to a good standard. I read a lot of these reviews on here that people had previously written, and a lot of it was bad. Now this made me hesistant to if i'd made the right decision to stay at the villa flamenca. But i am happy to say it was a good choice and my week at the hotel was lovely.
To all the people who complained about the hotel, for the room size, the food, and whatever else you complained about. REMEMBER that the villa flamenca is a THREE STAR not a 4 or even 5. so you pay for what you get.... it explains itself really, if your looking for good value, good food, and a nice relaxing break, with the beach and local amenities close by, than its a brilliant choice. i would visit there again, even though it is directed at an older generation me and my partner our in our ealy twenties and we had a good time. So many other couples there were friendly to us and very chatty. I would reccomend it to anyone.
But you can't always please everyone!!

A nice little hotel about 10 mins walk from the town centre. It's a standard 3 star hotel so food is fine, not brilliant but better than expected.
Very friendly staff who are always willing to help. The rooms are quite small but that didn't matter to us.
It's a nice loaction if you don't mind a bit of a walk to the centre of town. The pool area is nice but not very big so gets quite crowded. Overall we were happy with our stay though and the hotel was better than we expected.

Strictly for the over-45s, Villa Flamenca is a pretty hotel but that's about it. Our room was nice but very small and the tiny balcony too cramped to enjoy.
We stayed B&B and only tried breakfast once - it was awful. The hotel is cheap so maybe I shouldn't expect real juice and proper coffee, but what the Flamenca had on offer was disgusting.
The reception and cleaning staff were polite and helpful, but the bar staff were rude and surly. They enjoyed ordering customers around in the bar which is not exactly "relaxing" in my opinion. If there'd been waiter service around the pool I would've avoided going in the bar altogether. The pool area, by the way, could do with some TLC and the manky sunbeds need throwing out and replacing.
The walk down to the beach is steep and slippy. The beach is nice but the sunbeds are laid out far too closely for my liking and you can't move them if you want an umbrella as they are fixed into the sand.
But on a positive note, there are some great restaurants in Nerja and a few nice bars to drink at. And the caves are worth a visit - well, if it rains, anyway!

After staying for a week in a villa in the countryside around Frigiliana we rounded off the holiday with 5 nights at Villa Flamenca. Booked it on the internet and, due to mixed reviews, didn't know what to expect. We needn't have worried! This is an excellent hotel in a quiet residential area of Nerja. It is well kept and extremely well run.
The staff are lovely. We were unfortunate enough to have a screaming, bouncing toddler in the next room (screamed and bounced all night long!) and when we asked if we could move rooms we were given keys to go and choose another! The second room was absolutely peaceful. Everywhere is spotlessly clean.
The pool area in the garden is a real oasis and the bar snacks very good and reasonable. The hotel is only a ten minute walk down the hill to Burriana beach and only about 15 minutes to Carabeo and the Balcon.
We stayed on half board (unusually for us) and were glad that we did. The buffet in the cosy dining room was fanatastic with plenty of choice.
The rooms are spacious and, if you were to be picky, a little jaded. However as I said before, they are spotlessly clean and towels and bedding are changed every day. And let's face it, you are not paying for 5 star! I can't comment on any hotel entertainment as we went out after dinner each night.
All in all, an excellent stay and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Well done Villa Flamenca.
