Located in the charming Douro Valley, just 1 hour away from Oporto Airport, the stylishly modern inn results from the restoring old house of the famous African explorer Serpa Pinto, overlooking a quite water mirror surrounded by beautiful slopes along the River Douro. In July 2005, Mr. Amandio Fontes, a person with a lot of experience in the hospitality industry, acquired a majority interest in the inn. Dining: The restaurant 'Porto Antigo' is delighted to serve delicious variety of traditional Portuguese dishes. Roasted kid, house-style codfish with roasted potatoes or rice, fillet of 'Arouquesa' meat, and grilled trout, freshly caught from the river Bestanca, are some of our suggestions. Pastries such as butter sweeties and pumpkin pudding are other tasty specialities. We also offer an excellent selection of regional wines, carefully chosen to compliment the menu, making your meal an experience to remember.
