i stayed in the hotel for four nights,it takes about 10 mins to get to the hotel from the airport.the main reception and bar area is gorgeous, with marbled floors.i stayed in room 301,it was a v large room, nice and clean,a very comftable stay.my balcony had lovely views onto the quiet spanish streets, and the mountains.i could see the airport, but no noise from the planes.it's a two min walk from the hotel onto the beach, using the steps down past the pool, great beach very relaxing.can pastillia is a very nice resort with nice little bars and shops.i ate everynight in the hotel and the food is fantastic,so much choice of freshly cooked food, will please everyone! in the evening i would have a stroll round can pastillia and then relax in the bar and watch people dancing,it is mostly older couples in the hotel,i am 28,but was nice to watch traditional dancing.perfect holiday can't wait to go again!
Pretty little place

Stayed at this hotel in April, only a 3 star but if you like a 3* then this hotel will be fine.
only 5 minuites from Palma Airport so i would suggest booking direct with the hotel and get a flight ,taxi was 9 euros not worth paying for a coach transfer, bit of advise though on your return to the airport get there early as palma airport is massive and has over 168 gates which can take upto 15 minutes to get to so may be good to check on the internet which check in zone you need to check in at and tell the taxi driver who will drive you to the right bit and save you a walk.
The hotel is nice and the food was always very good, the rooms are a little dated but for a 3* it's basic and fine for the money.as you dont spend much time in the room really.
ask for a sea view on floor 6,lovely view's of the bay the pool area is nice and the beach is across the road. plenty of bars and shops in walking distance.
the number 15 bus takes you where ever you need to get to.
a must is a trip to sollar and thursday to arenal market. both via the number 15 bus
if you like cycling this is the place we hired bikes and went to palma about a hour there and back but plenty of bars along the way
also if you like planes you will be in heaven.the run way runs along the side of the hotel and if you go to the beach and watch them take off you can almost touch them, we herd very little aircraft noise at night tho.
feel free to ask any questions..

We stayed at the Alexandra for 6 nights feb 2008. We got a great bargain through easy jet. although the hotel was doing a lot of maintance work around the pool we still found this excellent value. The food was good and our room was brill on 6th floor overlooking the sea. I would love to return to the hotel in peak season when all their flowers are blooming as the gardeners were working hard preparing the flower beds etc. i could imagine it would be beautiful.
Can pastilla itself is beautiful but mainly caters for Spanish or German tourists but dont let this put you off. The bus services are excellent. We travelled to Palma and then caught the " yellow bus" to magaluf.
The weather was unbelevaible 18-22 deg came home with a lovely tan !
The downfall of the hotel is there is very little info in english . The bingo was a hoot as the compare repeated the numbers in Spanish German and english but unfortunately she got her 5s and 3s mixed up so she would call five and seven it was 37 !!! and so on !! We gave up in the end !
One thing I must say is we thought the Spanish pensioners who were the majority of the guests in the hotel are very very rude people ! They have no manners at all - yet there was a school party of about 30 Spanish teenagers staying the same time as us and they were so well behaved . There manners were impecabile and would get out of the lift to let others in !
I would def recommed this hotel

I went there with approx. 60 colleagues from work to a "Christmas party". The hotel must have been built in the late 60's but as in some hotels from the area say they had modernised it, this didn't... Small rooms (at least mine was) but proper and with proper bathrooms. The service in the reception and the bar was very friendly but they couldn't compensate for the extreme rudeness of the service in the restaurant. Apart from the fact that the buffet service is less than reasonable (at least I'm used to better buffets... and please don't drink the wine...), the waitress was so rude as to the point that she actually said that we couldn't sit on a table a little bigger but more apart from the rest of the central tables because it was to far for her and if we didn't like it we could just go to another hotel... but the prvious day she also removed the wine from our table without saying a word because she was convinced (and didn't even bother to ask) that we didn't have meals included... of course by this time we didn't know the wine was so awfull...

I have stayed a few times at this hotel especially if the Leo is not available.
The hotel is about 5 mins from the airport and is of a good standard. Rooms have twin beds with good wardrobe space, safe (fee payable) and good clean bathrooms. The pool is laid out well and just round the corner are restaurants, a chemist, and some shops. For the price that I pay for the hotel the food never put me off staying there but I always found it quite bland. I was definitely impressed this time as all the food was of good quality and was very tasty. Nice surprise for me and my travellers.
The staff are all very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble
Whilst we stayed out of season the hotel was full of mainly spanish oap's. They were amazing to watch of a night, socialising with each other, dancing and drinking in moderation and not a drunk Brit in sight! Paradise!
My favourite place to eat in the area is Sorrento which is just opposite the beach by the hotel. The paella is delicious and my kids love the pizza.
