Stayed 6 nights... Excellent location and inexpensive for this area!
You must work hard to get lost since its nearby the obelisco landmark. the USA equivalent of the Washington monument.
We had an overall positive experience after many so-so 3 star hotels in B.A...this one is a solid 3.5 star hotel and can be improved to a 4 star with a few adjustments.
The staff are usually pleasant, except for when we needed the heat increased in the room because there was a cold weather front during our first few days.we must have asked three times before they got to it. aside from this all our requests were attended to promtly.
Two things stand out that prevent me from giving the OMNI an excellent rating. the utensil cover charge and the exhorbitant fee for using the internet.
thats right! i said utensil as in fork and spoon and knife usage charge!
the room included a sink and small fridge, a few plates, glasses and coffee cups, etc. HOWEVER! for some bizarre reason many restaurants and this hotel charge up to $3.00 usd , a silly fee if you choose not to eat with your fingers!
This hotel charges $3.00 usd for an hour of internet in their business room, and $10.00 usd for wireless.
We found that merely walking around the corner in both directions are a plethora of locutorio's (cyber-cafe) the prices in the internet cafe's are a negligible .50 cents an hour.
The Omni provides a very complete international breakfast buffet with brewed coffee and a little of everything. dont sleep in past 10:00 or you'll miss a great breakfast!
i can easily overlook the faults or shortcomings of hotels and restaraunts because B.A. is such an amazing city and incredible place to visit!
We visit Buenas every year and in 2008 we surely will be booking our room at the Omni! i am packing some forks this time!
suerte!

It's billed as a 4-star hotel but in reality it comes across as 3-star. Good points were: location, very helpful reception/front of house staff, spacious suite with wooden floors, very clean, very quiet, lots of light. What was disappointing for me was the room service/restaurant. Food quality was poor. On two occasions hot meals turned up cold, sandwiches were mainly bread and little filling. Breakfast buffet was fine, but there was no option to order breakfast by room service. Suite had a fridge, microwave and coffee cups but no kettle/coffee maker. Housekeeping was very good and totally unintrusive. Cable TV had plenty of channels but no BBC or CNN in English. Wireless internet connection was very good.
Loved It

I love this hotel!!! Great location. Great central air conditioning. Nice, helpful, friendly staff. For three adults this apartment layout worked nicely. The living room area had a fold out futon bed, and kitchenette, then off the short hallway was the bathroom (complete with bidet) and at the end of the hall was a good sized master bedroom with massive double glazed windows.
The tasty buffet breakfast was served in the restaurant on the 1st floor. Wireless internet was available and there were two computers available in a corner of the restaurant for a fee.
The hotel was about one block from the Obelisk and there were many places to eat within a block or two of the hotel. The subway was nearby as were a number of banks, a variety of stores and a number of live theater venues.
