The most unco-opeartive staff. I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. The room comfortor did not sheild from the cold. When I checked for adapter and internet, the staff simply said, they cannot help me and I have to come to the reception to collect it.
I was to receive an overseas call in the morning at 6:30. The calling person after trying for HALF N HR..called me on my roaming cell to complain that no one was picking the call at reception and if I could ask them to pick the phn.
The internet connection which they gave me had yahoo mail blocked!! and no1 could help me resolve it.
In breakfast, there is nothing called vegetarian food and meat is just lamb. No variety in bread and no cakes or sweets. I chose this hotel based on the reviews fro trip advisor but for sure I will not stay here again.

We searched for a very long tıme on the ınternet to fınd a good value hotel ın Zurıch for our two nıght stay.
Hotel Coronado ıs exactly as we expected ıt to be. Functıonal, clean and good value compared to the other hotels we researched. It ıs not partıcularly beautıful or unıque and therefore the kınd of hotel that you mıght want to spend hours relaxıng ın your room, but ıf you're ın Zurıch on busıness or as a busy tourıst on a budget then ıt fıts the bıll perfectly.
Hotel Coronado ıs a 5 - 10 mın tram rıde out of Zurıch, but don't let that put you off. The trams are very frequent and easy to use, the tram stop almost ımmedıately outsıde the hotel and the 24 hour passes that gıve you unlımıted travel on the trams can be purchased from the hotel desk.

We booked a triple room at the Coronado for one night and when we got to the room we were amazed at how new and modern it all looked. The room was very large with 2 beds, sofa couch, table and chairs plus a very modern bathroom. It was all immaculately clean and apparently the entire 5th floor that we were on had been recently redeveloped. Unfortunately, the redevelopment hadn't gone quite to plan and the shower flooded out into the living room! The staff were very helpful and let us use a shower in another room a few floors down plus gave us a small discount but we were told that there was something wrong with all the rooms on the 5th Floor. If going to this hotel I would advise not getting a room on the 5th floor until all the problems are sorted out. Other than that, the place was great and very centrally located.

Dora at the front desk, other staff members were very accomodating... (Ice cubes +) Booked a quiet room, and was assigned one facing the back, which was indeed quiet. Some nice trees to view, our room on corner, third floor, #302(?) w /1 large window. This room had 2 comfortable single beds pushed together, and also had one sizable desk area, as well as one small desk area beside mini-fridge. Not overly spacious, but yet enough space to move about comfortably / and for all our stuff. (I understood these rooms are more spacious than the Kings.)
Bathroom although very small, was also very well thought out, w/blow dryer. Sink top had enough space for stuff, along with shelf below mirror. Elevator was swift, quiet.
Breakfast layout was a bit awkward, compact, and not a lot of tables, but there was a nice variety, along w/ hot soft boiled eggs, yougerts, fruits, variety of cheeses, rolls, breads and meats.
Note: this room at back did not have air conditioning, so verify if you need that. We didn't need. Tram, is indeed just across the street, although we did not use it to go into town. Next time. Directions to hotel were very easy to follow, easy to/from airport or in all directions.
Hotel Italian dining was closed Sunday night, so Dora directed us to Pizzeria da Amici one block or so down, same side of street. Nice meal, no salad or appetizer for 2 with 3 beers was 53 CHF. Atmosphere was comfortable / family friendly, but yet with starched tablecloths and proper table settings.
Note: Across from this is a very handy COOP mid-sized supermarket.

Spotless room, with quality appliances, but nothing spectacular. Bit far out from the city, but located close to a lovely big park (ideal for picnics). Very friendly and helpful staff.
