If you are looking just for a very basic accommodation in the city centre of Quimper, Oceania Quimper will probably not disappoint you. However, here are some of the shortcomings that we discovered during our recent visit. 1. Noisy Street 2. No working air conditioning 3. Dark rooms - lack of proper lighting 4. Worn-out bed For this Motel-style accomodation, the value for money that you get is actually quite poor.

We've stayed at this hotel on four occasions and have always found it to be very welcoming. The rooms are very clean and modern and appear to be regularly updated and maintained. Always plenty of fresh towels and toiletries. Parking is free and the hot buffet breakfast and room service are very good value. It's within walking distance of the town centre and the HB Henriot Quimper Pottery factory, although the road from the hotel to the centre can be fairly busy at certain times of day. If you are stocking up with French 'goodies' there's a huge supermarket fairly near the hotel ...... ideal if you are visiting from the UK and don't want to leave your shopping until the last minute at one of the channel ports!
