This was mine and my husbands first time in Paris and this was a great hotel for us to stay in. The location was perfect and we easily walked to all the main Paris attractions. The front desk was helpful with any questions. The court yard was nice to relax it after a day of sight seeing. We were pleasantly surprised with how big the room was. The rooms were clean and the bathroom was recently renovated.

We Stayed at The Lord Byron for two nights 19-21st April 2008. We booked a Superior room with twin beds. Requested a room with an Eiffel Tower view, but was allocated the street side. Silvia on the front desk could not do enough for us. She helped with confirming dinner reservations and general enquiries as well as a teaching us a few phrases of French to get by. Large room with a sitting area and two double french windows opening up onto a very 'French' cobbled street. Didn't have breakfast in the hotel too expensive. The location is fantastic. 100 metres to Champs Elyeese. Closest Metro was 'George V', and RER 'Charles de Gualle Eloite' is just up the road under "Arc de Triumphe'. The only problem we experienced was the noise at night on the street. Go for a room on the courtyard side.

There is no such thing as Paris on a budget, but the Lord Byron is the closest thing. I stayed there for a week in February 2005. It started off badly, when I walked in to the very expensive hotel next door thinking it was the Lord Byron! One perplexed look later, I was out the door and warmly welcomed at the desk of the correct hotel.
The hotel has a great little rich-coloured entrance and the people at the desk are very, very helpful with vast knowledge on local resteraunts and other leisure activities. There is an elavator but if you're taking a big suitcase, one of you isn't going to fit.
The room was reasonably clean and the walls blocked most of the sound from adjacent rooms. This hotel is all about an amazing starting location, 50 metres from the Champs Elysee! All the other nearby hotels were double the price, with the exception of 1 across the street.
Stupidly, I left my shoes behind when I returned to the UK I contacted the receptionist via email and a week later my shoes arrived in a beautifully presented parcel. Amazingly, the hotel had gone to the trouble of cleaning them also. Astonishing!
Great value for money in the best tourist location in Paris.
