A nice, little hotel with a friendly and helpful front desk staff. We only stayed one night because we were enroute to Spain, but there were no problems and it was quiet. If we're staying on that side of Paris again (walking distance to Montparnasee Station), we'll choose this hotel.

I've stayed here a few times and always been completely satisfied. It's modest, but comfortable. The breakfast in the mornings is fantastic. I'll admit it's not the most amazing hotel ever, but it's fine for the price and who spends much time in their hotel anyway when you're in Paris? It's a lovely hotel and I've always had a good experience there.

If you are looking for a hotel with room service, a big spacious room, and a staff that caters to your every need, then this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a room to put your stuff, a bed to sleep on, and a bathroom to do your business and wash up, then this is a great hotel. It is in a great location, very close to metro stations and only 3 km to the effiel tower. Best of all, it had the best price for the time of year (New Year's) and location. It is true that the breakfast isn't included and it costs 14 euros, but why get breakfast there when you can get a great breakfast in town? The pastries are to die for! I hope this helps everyone.

I booked through Expedia travel service itenerary number 15041572772 for 6 nights in Paris for the Hotel Novanox. Unfortunately, Hotel Novanox didn't have a room for me for the first two nights, and send me over to Hotel De l'Orchidee, which was absolutely horrible. I hold Novanox partially responsible for this horrrible experience. The service was rude, the interior was cheap and aweful. Much worse than Novanox. The front desk told us when we checked in that breakfast was included, and they tried to charge us for the breakfast when we left the hotel, and while we apologized, the front desk cashier actually yelled at us. Absolutely horrible experience. AVOID at all costs. The pictures on the web are huge misrepresentation of the actual condition of the hotel. When you get there you will realize how cheap this place is. A small independent hotel, the 40 room L'Orchidee is located in the Montparnasse district. Pernety Metro station is very close by, giving easy access to the main tourist attractions. But don't be lured by the pretty pictures that they have on the web. The hotel has a bar with its lousy lounge, a tiny tiny garden, bar that's staffed by very rude bartenders. Don't be lured. The 3 star rating is about as one-star experience as you can get.
