My mum and I stayed here. The rooms are tiny, but we were prepared for small. The rooms are simple, but clean. We had a room overlooking the Rue DiRivoli and werent bothered by noise. If you are looking for a fabulous location, walking distance to so many wonders, great restaurants only a couple of doors down and friendly staff at a reasonable price then this is the hotel for you! The rooms are SMALL, but if you only want a place to rest your weary head after exploring all day, then this is it.

I had asked for a room at the back of the hotel because i know the street it is on is quite busy. The room we got was a cupboard, very dark and very depressing. We stayed in that room the first night, the next morning i went to have a shower, the bathroom was so small that you could sit on the toilet and have your hands in the basin and your head under the shower. I had accidently knocked the hairdryer off the wall which fell and as i grabbed it all the back of the dryer was broken and was open and LIVE, I recived a very nasty electric shock. When i told the receptionsist she just laughed and said we could have another room. We moved to a bigger and brighter room to the front of the hotel.... so so noisy never slept a wink....
The staff are nice but the hotel is so shabby and dirty. Pillows and matress was disgusting in both rooms.
Never again would i stay here. The pictures of this hotel are very misleading.... the back rooms are tiny with a window looking out to a brick wall and the front rooms are very noisy
Both rooms are filthy...

Yes, rooms are small, but that didn't bother us. This hotel did seem to be for the more travel-hardy, less-picky, urban hipsters. Definitely not for someone expecting pampering. Coming from Chicago, we knew exactly what 150 Euros per night would get us.
Definitely spring for the "Deluxe Double" as the standard double was barely big enough for two people plus luggage. Once we were upgraded to a Deluxe double, we were much happier. The room overlooked the Rue de Rivoli and the staff was pleasant. I was a bit taken aback by the "leave your room key at the desk when you leave" rule -- I have never had that before and admit it made me a bit uncomfortable.
All said, we enjoyed our stay and it did not break the bank. I don't know if we would stay here again. Likely for our next trip we will rent a flat.

A colleague and i booked two rooms in this hotel for one night..and that was one night too long. i have stayed in paris many times and know there is a huge variation between hotels with 3 stars. This one scarcely merits one star. It is shabby. The room was tiny, The claims made on the hotel website about size and decor are misleading, as are the photographs. the location is great but there is no way i would ever return here. My colleague feels the same. Summed up in two words..BATES MOTEL. R.Gibney, Belfast.
