I stayed here for four nights in the beginning of April 2008.
The room rates (found vis AsiaRooms) was great for this hotel and location.
Location - the location is great. Very close to the subway lines and never more than 10 pesos from where we wanted to get to throughout the city (ie. Palmero, Recoleta). My gf and I did not feel the area was dangerous at all during the night or early mornings.
Rooms - rooms were very big. Similar to staying at a studio apartment than staying at a hotel or B&B. The rooms were clean but had a strong wood/plaster smell that went away as soon as we opened our windows or A/C.
Front Desk - very nice and pleasant. They helped us book dinner reservations and suggested different tango shows and activities.
In conclusion, you can?t beat the price to stay at this centro location. However, the next time I come to Buenos Aires, I would definitely try to stay in Recoleta or Palmero due to the area?s more residential feel.

Used Asia Rooms to book got exceptionally good price ... the hotel was really good with lovely breakfast Good tourist dinner 3 course or a la carte in their smajl restaurant Very helpful staff ,always had an english speaking person avaiilable (we had a Lan Chile email in Spanish which we didnt understand staff translated, sent the info to the reception printer to print out the boarding passes in duplicate) stored luggage for 2 days whilst we went to Iguazu and came back to stay again
free internet bar open with nice courtyard to have a drink in it is a very interesting building and the location is 2 blocks to main streets eg 9 de Julio then 3 blocks along you are at the Obelisk. Also 2 blocks other way to Av de Mayo banks/ restaurants etc reception staff very helpful if you need info There is a small supermarket almost direcly opposite also with a person that sells fruit in the entrance Larger supermarket further down street. Easy to use Radio cabs and cheap for evening trips out. Double glazed windows and the courtyard gvies a nice feel to the place

We were very satisfied with our stay at Tribeca. The location is excellent, in "pleno centro" and within a couple of blocks from a major subway.
The staff was friendly and helpful, and let us check in more than 2 hours early, as well as allowed us to check out a bit later. The rooms were clean, and incredibly spacious.
The breakfast buffet was amazing...and free! Fresh fruits, breads, yogurts, pastries, croissants, hams, cheeses, cereals, and fruit salad. Eggs made to order!
The only complaint was the peso per call made with a calling card.
Overall, a great value. We booked through an Argentine website, and our one night stay was just $86 USD.

Great hotel, the rooms were nice and spacious and felt very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful and you could usually find someone who spoke English. The location was good for Casa Rosada, San Telmo and the shopping street of Florida Road. I would however probably chose to stay in the Palermo area next time for the restaurants and bars around there, but for this trip this area was perfect for the site seeing I wanted to do. The hotel rates were pretty good too, paid about US$115 for a triple room.
