I stayed at this hotel for a week back in April. I wouldn't recommend it.
1. Despite the fact that their website clearly states "WiFi access (Wireless Internet connection) for your laptop," that is not the case. Their idea of Internet access is one PC in the basement which all the guests must share.
2. I stayed in the Annex, a set of small rooms in a building next door to the hotel. The room was musty and damp. The mattress was as hard as a rock.
3. They advertise as "multilingual" but most of the staff didn't speak English.
4. They turned off the power to the room whenever we weren't there. This made charging laptops/cellphones difficult.
Great hotel with a great location

This is a nice hotel in a perfect area. It is one block from a Metro (subway) station and a couple of blocks from Notre Dame. The staff were fluent in English, friendly and helpful. When we needed advice or suggestions, they went out of their way to help, even making phone calls and reservations.
The room was a decent size, the bathroom was small but very clean. They did not have a lift or air conditioning but even during the heart of summer, the cool breeze from the Seine River kept the room comfortable. The hotel was very clean and well maintained.
We were very happy with our stay and look forward to staying their again.

We spent part of our honeymoon here and could not be more pleased with the location! It's out of the busy downtown touristy part of Paris, but close to two Metro stations (St.Paul-Bastille & Sully-Morland). This little walk-up is in the middle of a neighbourhood so you get to experience the real Paris. A patisserie and bistro at the corner is ideal! Pain au chocolat every morning! You're close to the main boulevard in Le Marais, and Place des Vosges. You're also really close to les iles Saint Louis & de la Cite.
This is a great place if you're up to exploring the city on foot, using the metro and exploring the beautiful nooks and crannies of Paris. From this location we were able to walk or use the metro all over the city, see all of the sites we wanted to see including and we even got a ride to the airport when we left.
The staff are easy going and not intrusive. They were helpful whenever we had any enquiries. We didn't have the breakfast here as it's super easy and cheap to get meals on the main boulevard. The room we had was basic, small, very clean and is fine if you're out an about for most of the day. If you have lots of luggage, this place is not for you as it's a walk up and the rooms are Euro-sized (i.e. small by North American standards). Bed was comfortable. An iron and alarm clock in the room would be a nice addition. Bathroom was clean, the shower door made a really loud click everytime you opened it but otherwise worked fine.
We went in the spring (May 2008) and the weather was perfect, no need for heat or air but we did get a good breeze from the window. Overall, we will definitely stay here again! Merci beaucoup!

I read mostly good reviews of this hotel and I must say, I was really disappointed. I usually stay in cheaper hotels in this neighbourhood and really, most of them provided a better experience than this hotel which charges 140 euros for a twin room. Yes, it's a great neighbourhood and the clerks were pleasant and helpful but our room was all the way down the street from the hotel in a separate building, there were two bulbs and a socket which didn't work, the room had not been thoroughly cleaned (dustballs in the corners) and worst of all, the whole place reeked of damp - there were damp patches on the walls and silverfish darting across the floor. On a muggy night in the summer with no air conditioning, this was very unpleasant. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Wanted a hotel in the Marais district for a 3 night birthday stay in Paris for my husband. This hotel hit the spot. The welcome was always friendly and although the room was quite small the en suite was clean with towel changes each day. It could have done with a lick of paint but clean nevertheless. It is situated on a very quiet corner plot and although we had a room overlooking the street we didnt have any problems with any street noise of any kind. The hotel is a short walk from the Bastille Metro and close to many places to have breakfast. We also ate close to the hotel each evening and expecially recommended was a Cuban restaurant Calle 24 just round the corner where we celebrated my husbands birthday. For the price of 115 euros a night definitely a good bargain break.
