I recently stayed at the Hotel Miverve for 4 nights in a single room.
It is a very charming hotel of traditional design, and the staff are
all very friendly and helpful.
It's in a really great location, 5 minutes walk from the Seine and Notre Dame and well connected with metro lines and buses.
There are many great caf?s and restaurants in the area too and you can easily walk to St Germain from there.
My only slight disappointment was that my room was very small, even for a single room and, as it faced the inner courtyard, it was also very dark at all times of the day with very little natual light.
My mother, who I was travelling with, also had a single room but her one was facing the street and was much brighter and airier as a result.
Other than that I would thoroughly recommend staying at this hotel for its location, charm and friendly staff.

We stayed at Hotel Minerve with my 21 and 16 year old children and my parents. We got the family room which was actually 2 interconnecting rooms. Hotel location was fantastic in the latin quarter and suited all our needs. Staff were great as others have mentioned and we found them to be very helpful. I would highly recommend if you want to stay in Paris at a great location for a reasonable price.

While this hotel was recommended by travel books and sites, it was bad. The smell of urine was in the carpet throughout the hotel. I had to go buy incense to cover the smell in our room, which was very small. We had a scenic view of 3 walls, and when I dropped the soap in the shower, I had to turn off the water, open the door, and then pick up the soap, as the shower was so small. The lobby was dirty and very dusty. I think this is rated as three stars only because it has a lift, big enough for one person and a suitcase, parking, at 20 E a day, and AC. There must be a nicer and affordable hotel in Paris!!!

The Hotel Minerve was perfect for our Paris stay. My husband and I stayed in the triple-room with our teenage son. The hotel was very clean, the staff was VERY nice and helpful (and spoke English), and the location is perfect. The rooms were a normal size (small) for Paris hotel, but comfortable. Great value!
