We had a nice two-day stay at this hotel. The room was comfortable and a good size. The hotel offered a better rate on the phone than anything on the web (so call them! - there are also good dinner B&B rates). Breakfast was freshly cooked and included in our room rate. Union Street is five minutes walk. There is a nice bar, and staff are very friendly. Nearby Rustico restaurant is worth a visit for Italian food though the hotel restaurant is also good for dinner.

Foyer of the hotel was very grand and there were no problems with checking in on arrival. Lift worked fine. Our room was on the second floor and was clean, comfortable and quiet. The room had a minibar and also provided dressing gowns.
We ate in the hotel in the evening, food was reasonably priced and the service was good.
We weren't sure if we had booked breakfast as well with the room (it turned out we hadn't) and found the price tag a little steep nearly ?16 EACH!!
Overall the staff were very friendly and polite. You can use the hotel car park for free but beware it is very tight and quite small but there is a multi-storey car park across the road which is currently free on Saturdays and Sundays but you might find you have to park on the roof

We stayed for 2 nights at the Copthorne while on vacation in February. The rooms were adequate and clean. Breakfast was overpriced. The bar area was quite comfortable and the wait staff there was very helpful. My biggest complaint was with the front desk staff. We tryed to arrange for a driver to show us the sites and the conceirge was a young student from the Czech Republic that didn't know much about the area. The lobby was being painted and the 2 painters were more helpful than the front desk. They arranged for a driver, they carried our bags and helped us to get an electrical converter. They told us about the area na dhelped us plan a sirte seeing trip. Thank goodness for the painters!!

Stayed here for 1 night on the 1st of December, the rooms are nice and comfortable and clean. The hotel is very central close to all the shops and bars in Aberdeen. However we thought breakfast was included in our rate so we decided to have it at the hotel big mistake, the buffet is ok but the fried breakfast was dripping in grease and absolutely uneatable. The breakfast was 34.50gpb for 2 people we had starters, main course and beers in Chi a beautiful Thai restaurant the day before for 48GBP. So the hotel is a bit of a rip off. Lovely Hotel but would definately recommend going elsewhere to eat.

I travel quite often in business, and I wish I could say this was the standard for the hotels I have had to stay in. I stayed there 4 nights, and the room was clean, quiet, comfy, and priced right. I would not have changed a thing.
