We arrived from the Torre on the Serra de Estrella which was at 1993 meters surrounded by remaining layers of snow and covered in the foggy clouds that produced cold rain. At the bottom of the mountain rig it was sunny again with some showers. Great to find a clean spacious room waiting for us in a hotel that was abstractly shaped as a ship. We had a great dinner in the beautiful restaurant with a nice wine from the area (white as this is the preference of my wife). The restaurant could contain more persons than we thought, but the fact that a busload of travelers and another group (totalling 60 persons) had to eat here as well did not result in a longer wait. On the contrary, whereas we had some trouble in getting info on the menu (as it was in Portuguese only) all effort was done to get us a person who could explain what we wanted to know. After dinner my wife was welcomed to view a Salsa dancing school and I spent some time at a pool tournement in the game area. Here hotel personnel offered me a glas of the red version of the white wine we had at dinner!

It's a modern hotel, with nice rooms and a great service. Staff is very nice and they have an beautifull room for restaurant and breakfast. It's well located (near high-way) that allows you to visit Castelo Branco, in a few minutes.

We went 4 days to Serra da Estrela and stayed in this magnific hotel. With big rooms, good breakfast, EXCELLENT restaurant , a charming and helpful staff we loved this hotel.
