Went to this hotel for a stag do on the weekend England were playing New Zealand at Trent Bridge. The cleanliness and atmosphere of the hotel is excellent and the staff are very helpful. The rooms are big enough and again very clean. The room we stayed in had what seemed to be a new bathroom which was immaculate. The hotel bar is a bit pricey but you expect this hotels anyway. The breakfast wasnt the best but for someone who had just been drinking all day the day before it was a god send.
The hotel is ideal for people wanting to stay close to Trent Bridge or City Ground and Meadow Lane as it is only a 10min walk to the ground. There is a Hooters bar just over the bridge from the hotel and the city centre is about a 10min walk away.
After a certain time security appear on the door of the hotel and you have to sign in to get to your room.
Overall, very nice hotel whether you are on a weekend break or in groups. Couples or elderley beware though as there are a lot of stag and hen parties saty here.

Stayed here for 1 night in early June whilst attending a family funeral. Receptionist was efficient but not terribly welcoming; however, i was able to check in and use my room before 11 a.m., which was great as I'd been up and travelling since 4 a.m.
Room was on the 5th floor and overlooked the plaza at the front of the hotel. It was quite big, with both a double and single bed, desk, chair, easy chair , wardrobe, TV and so forth. The bathroom was plain and functional but also a decent size. The air conditioning worked well, and/or the window opened for fresh air. Even though my room was near the lift, I didn't hear any noise, and I'm famed for hearing a pin drop!
I ate dinner in the restaurant, and it was fine. Service was attentive and the food was perfectly acceptable. Breakfast next morning was included in my booking (with Superbreak) and I thought it was quite good - buffet style with plenty of choices and items were being constantly renewed as necessary.
The hotel is very near to the main station, and also the terminus for the tram system, which you can use to get into the city centre or further afield.
All in all, a perfactly reasonable hotel in a good location for transport links.

I recently stayed here and was impressed with the standard of the accommodation. However, beware if breakfast is not included in your room rate. My colleague and I checked in at the same time and both enquired about breakfast. We were told that it would be pre-booked for us at a lower rate than if we just turned up for it. However, on check out I found that I had been charged a higher rate than my colleague for breakfast, and he had only been charged for two out of four of his breakfasts! Efforts to clarify this at check out were impossible given that the reception desk was hopelessly understaffed and reception staff denied all knowledge of the different rates/how breakfast could be pre-booked. Although this seems like a minor point, it exemplifies the inconsistent standard of service. So in general a satisfactory stay, but beware confusing tariffs and charges. And also note that 'room service' here consists of collecting your own food from the restaurant, which hardly seems to be 'room service'.

I stayed here with two friends to attend a show in the arena. It started badly when we arrived from the airport and walked from the station to the hotel we passed 3 addicts dealing drugs.Check in was ok ,but staff appeared to be distracted and not very friendly.Had dinner in the restaurant the first night, waitress very nice, the nicest of all the staff we encountered in jurys.Food was nice but a little expensive. The hotel itself is nice, rooms ok but in an awful area.We never felt safe .It is very close to the arena which suited us and not far from the city centre but we never felt we could let our guard down.Overall,we felt this hotel was only average and we wont be back.

This hotel is just average.and overpriced.the rooms are quite small although clean, the walls are very thin i was woken up on two nights by the people in the room underneath banging the door shut. The food in the restaurant is awful and over priced. The breakfast is also over priced. I booked on the hotel website and paid more two months ago, being ?99 gbp per night, last week the prices were ?75gbp on trip advisor. the reception staff on a sunday are very miserable!!!in fact i would not stay in this hotel again, paying London prices for a Hotel in grotty Nottingham. also the pictures on the web of the view are totally misleading my room over looked a canal, surrounded by cranes.
