City break to dublin

Upon arrival we found the reception to be well maintained and spacious, the foreign reception staff were polite but a bit of a struggle, English was obviously not their first language. Even though I had booked 3 rooms and had my confirmation letter and number they only had 2 rooms on the hotel system, couple this with the obvious language difficulties and confusion it took a little while to sort out, two our party ended up on one floor and four of us on another.
Our rooms were clean and tidy ,the bathroom was excellent especially the shower, the room did however over look the city refuse collection point which did not seem to be a major problem until 05:45am when work started, with a lot of reversing lorries Beep beeping and rubbish carts being emptied. The rooms are double glazed but I would recommend a room at the front of the hotel to avoid this problem (we were in rooms 350 and 342).
The buffet breakfast is a little expensive but has everything you want , full English or continental and you get as much as you like.
The best part about this hotel is the location, its excellently placed at a reasonable cost.
Would I recommend this hotel to other people – yes but I would stipulate a room at the front.

This hotel is lovely and in a fantastic location as O'Connell Street is just around the corner and its really close to lots of cafes and shops and easy access to public transport.
The hotel rooms are very clean and have everything you need including a great shower.
The reception were great with checking in and out but when we asked for a taxi to be ordered for us one night we were rung back up as the foreign man on the desk did not understand what we asked for?? we waited 40 minutes and we asked again, we were then told to go and wait in reception for it which we did but apparantly they were struggling to get one for us even though we could clearly see lots passing by the hotel entrance!!! All in all it took well over an hour to get a taxi!
The next day we asked them to book us onto the ghost bus tour,we waited an hour before ringing them back down, they told us the phone lines for that were closed as it was a sunday so they told us where to go to get the bus(you can pay on the bus too as long as its not fully booked) and to turn up at 7.45pm as the tour started at 8pm, turned out the tour started at 7pm and we missed it!!! We were not in the least bit happy at this!
I don't think having foreign workers at reception helped, its fine if they know what they are doing and can speak English!!
All in all (after all that moaning!!) I would go back because of the location and price :)

We have just got back from a girls weekend break in Dublin staying in Jurys Inn.
We found the location of the hotel great for getting to Temple Bar and the Arlington (about 10/15 mins walk), so far enough from the hustle & bustle without being too far away, the rooms were clean and of a decent size and check in/out was quick and efficient.
All in all we couldn't fault anything.
Just for reference, we stayed in rooms 405, 407 & 408 - the first two were extremely quiet as they looked over the courtyard area at the back of the hotel - i slept with my window open and did not hear any noise other than the very odd siren. The other room was at the front of the hotel so was on the road but apparently, even that room was not overly noisy.
