We stayed for a weekend at the Central Stratford Apartment Hotel. I chose them because the reviews were good and also because the reception staff were so helpful when I called to book. The hotel is only a year old and there are a few small maintenance issues but on the whole it is a very nicely presented hotel. We booked a standard studio room but there was a gap in the window and the wind was really loud through the gap at night so they upgraded us to a king room for the second night. Everything was clean and very nice, the bathrooms are small but clean. It is walking distance to lots of cafes and restaurants. I would recommend it for a young couple for value for money and cleanliness.

We stayed in this new apartment hotel at the end of November- a weekend when Wellington was busy and accomodation at a premium. We were in a studio unit with a small kitchen. It was very clean, attractive and functional. We had a very comfortable stay. The reception and housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful. This hotel is centrally placed and close to good restaurants etc.It is very new I think, and they were about to open a cafe. We paid less than $100 per night for the room and we were happy.

This place is absolutely new and very well run. The room was excellent, fantastic bed, beautif bath-room with wasching maschine, very well equiped kitchen with modern tools.(dishwascher, Microwave, even backing oven) all new and hardly used. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only 5 Minutes away by foot from the main shopping areas. Only 1 minute away from litte shopping mal with nice coffees and breakfast place, bank of NZ, Mac Donald, internet cafe... Would recommend this place and certainly come back anytime.
