We recently visited Rome and stayed at this hotel. Its location is superb, being just a short walk from Trevi fountain, but more importantly, it is very near the bus stop for the city tour bus (110).
We did not plan to be at the hotel for long periods of the day as there is too much to visit in the city. As a central base, it cannot be beaten.
Room: We stayed in a Superior room (253) which was quite adequate for two adults, a good size and firm bed, TV, fridge and very clean bathroom. The only problem was with the heating, we couldnt turn it off! It was also rather dark.
Breakfast: A good, help yourself breakfast bar with plenty of choice available. Staff were not over friendly but they were efficient and extremly busy.
Lobby: Receptionist(s) spoke good English and were able to assist with all of our enquiries.
Eating out: We found that the resteraunt next door to the left of the hotel was perfect for our needs. Be aware, there are plenty of resteraunts nearby that try to entice you in by their staff standing outside. This is because the food and service is not good enough to make you want to go there!
View: If we had wanted a room with a view, we wouldnt have picked one in the city centre.
Getting about: I think we hit trumps on this. We found (through this site) a cab firm called Rome Cabs ([--]). They were superb, offerering much more than a standard cab firm (see seperate review). Highly recommended.
Tour Bus. Therre is a bus stop just around the corner from the hotel for the 110 tour bus. This is an excellent way of getting your bearings and getting around. The hotel suggest that you buy your tickets from the kiosk over the road. You have to buy a two day pass from them . We managed to pay on the bus for just one day.
We will definatly return to Rome, probably stay at the same hotel and certainly use the same cab firm.

We booked this hotel for its location: it is litteraly a less than 100 meters from the Trevi Fountain! Being a 3 stars, it has exceeded our expectations: we stayed in a superior room and it did not feel like to be in a 3 stars hotel, but more in a four star hotel.
The breakfast buffet is quite rich and they hade nice homemade cakes + very creamy cappuccino!
The staff is very helpful!
Defintely an excellent hotel for tourist looking for an hotel very central, clean and with a reasonable budget!

Great base for Rome

We stayed at the Hotel for 4 nights in early March. Our expectations were to have a safe base for our daily trips. The rooms provided were quite good, if you're expectations are realistic. Plain and simple, clean with good bathroom facilities. The breakfasts were good and allowed you to fill up for the day but as expected busy at peak time,(9.30).The Staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in Room 154,there was a poor view from the window so we kept the shutters closed most of the time. This wasn't a problem as having a good view from the window wasn't a priority. If we were to return to Rome, having seen the hotels available there, we would pick the Accademia again.
