Stayed at hotel sporting in February 2007 for three nights. Lovely hotel, friendly staff, clean and comfortable room and fantastic breakfasts. Was made to feel very welcome and even though we had booked a double room (husband was orginally coming but could not get time off work) daughter came and staff arranged for double bed to be separated and made into twin beds. Points to consider, hotel is on busy road and even though room looked over sea could not access as train line running alongside busy road. Noise did not disturb has triple glazing and air conditioning though did not need in Feb. Really need a car as local shops and restaurants not really within walking distance. Great place to stay if wanting just a place to sleep, have breakfast and then explore the area. Would use again when visiting Ancona.

Booked a very cheap four days in Ancona with very little knowledge of the City or the region.Arrived mid-afternoon and the hotel was at least a mile from the old part of the town.Bus was the best way to travel as walking from the hotel was along a very busy road used by enormous lorries to and from the port. The hotel was good value though being off season we used it for bed and (quite adequate)breakfast only. The view to the left was of the sea and to the right of a very large Lidl and carpark-not featured in the hotel website. The town is not a Florance but the history is interesting with a simple Cathedral and some attractive piazzas and good restaurants.(Beware good food is hard to find on Sunday) Enjoyed the visit but will not rush back.
