We had a bachelor apartment and it was great. We only stayed one night, but wish we had stayed longer to enjoy the rest of the City. Bathroom is clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It's walking distance to the train station, but located on a side street - still close to the main street though. Or you can take the shuttle bus if you have a lot of luggage to carry.

This is a good hotel; not great and not bad. The rooms are clean and not too distasteful. The hotel doesn't have a lot of character. The location is quite good. The hotel provides wireless internet, although annoyingly it is a paid service. Many of the other hotels I stayed at in Italy provide this service for free. The staff are noticeably very friendly and the breakfast is quite good.

We booked this Hotel on the reviews from this website and were very pleased we did.
An easy 15 minute walk with luggage from the train station, much under cover, the hotel was the next little side street past the ubiquitous Garibaldi staue.
The staff were very very helpfull. We had phoned through before leaving Lucca at 8.00 am because of the bad weather and the hotel told us they would make our room ready by 10.00
The room was on the top floor which had easy access via a lift
It was very clean and comfortable, although no views of Bologna it was well ventilated by two skylights. A good bathroom and lovely shower
Nearby we used two very good Restaurants both within 5 minutes walk, Trattoria dal Bissanot & Portico Pizzeria. Both offer a wide selection of traditional and local food.
The Hotel Breakfast was brilliant with plenty of quality food to stock up for the day. Coffee to die for a numerous brands of tea.
When we visit this area again we would certainly make this our first choice hotel.
Try visitig Modena and Parma by train. Both lovely cities and within an hour by train

The Hotel Paradise is a well-run, efficient hotel in a very quiet location. Our room 304, on the top floor, had a skylight with automatic controls to open it a bit to let in fresh air and to roll down a shade to block the light. The bathroom was small, though not as small as other hotels of the same category in which we have stayed. Plus, the water pressure, even on the top floor, was great.
We could not say enough about the extremely pleasant and helpful women at the desk. They researched train schedules, recommended restaurants---and made sure the bowls of wrapped dark chocolate and cocoa dusted almonds were always full. During our three-night stay we never encountered the miserable man mentioned in another review---so maybe he's gone.

We stayed at the Hotel Paradise for three nights. The rooms really vary in type and size. The first 2 nights we were in a room with no windows, but with skylights. The last night we were able to move to a better room, with wood floors and windows and were very pleased with it.
The breakfast was good and the service terrific. The front desk staff all speak excellent English and were happy to help us with various details such as printing out train stations and helping us plan day trips.
There are amazing restaurants right around the block recommended by the hotel. We ate at all and loved them. We also thought the gelato Patagonia, just a couple blocks away on the main street, the best we've had in Italy.
For day trips we went to Ravenna (loved it) and to Modena for a balsamic tour and lunch. Fabulous. Bologna itself has a beautiful Morandi museum and the best food in Italy. I could stay there for weeks.
