I splurged on this hotel as an anniversary gift while on our trip to Europe, and it was definitely worth the extra bucks! Our standard double on the third floor (about $290/night on hotels.com) was small but adorable and had an unexpected canal view. Service was fantastic. The building itself is delightful; 4 medieval canal-front houses were connected to build the hotel, which seems to have preserved as much as possible the original features of the buildings. Less than a 5 minute walk from Markt Square, and a one minute stroll from the place where canal tours leave, the location was great. We were only in Bruges a short time, but this hotel definitely made our stay!

This property epitomizes the best of the Bruges experience. It exudes charm and good taste. The staff was extremely friendly and exceptionally helpful in answering our questions, making restaurant recommendations and reservations and assuring that we were happy. Our room overlooked the canal and was well-appointed, with a modern comfortable bathroom. The location is absolutely perfect. We could not have been more pleased.
