Excellent stay

The Best for the price I paid.
I would recommend this hotel because of its proximity to the vast shopping area and Pittsburgh International airport. The room was very small but clean and perfect for a 'base' for the business traveler or get-away traveler. Don't expect the luxuries of the higher priced hotels, but for my purposes (a shopping 2-day get away)it was fine. Complimentary continental breakfast was included, staff was friendly. I thought the service was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable. I felt they went above and beyond to make sure I had a nice stay.
I would indeed come back again and again.
Never Again!

I will never stay here again!
It was a last minute choice in my old hometown.
Check-in was slow. Then, when I got to my room, the curtain was drooping in the center. I tried to fix it, but all of the plastic tabs that held it place were broken off. You couldn't see in, but it was very ugly & sloppy. The room was filthy. While trying to fix the curtain, I saw an empty bottle, a cigarette (in my NON-smoking room), and God knows what in the corner next to the window behind the 'recliner' chair. The a/c didn't work very well. It smelled funny too. Then, when I turned the bed down, they had it made with 2 flat sheets (king bed) & the sheet had burn-holes. The pillows were NASTY. I threw 2 out of 3 on the chair because they were so bad I didn't even want to accidentally roll on them. They looked gray & like chewed up cotton. VERY gross! Then, I couldn't find the damn remote for the TV, so I went to call the front desk, but ALAS- my phone did NOT work AT ALL. No dial tone...NOTHING! So, I called the front-desk from my cellphone & he said he forgot to give me my remote control at check-in & forgot to turn the phone on & that he would. Then, to my dismay, I found gnats...yes GNATS in my SINK! A few buggers just hovering around the sink. Discusting! It was VERY late & I had no choice (other than sleeping in my car), since everywhere else seemed to be booked, so I braved it out for the 1 night. In the morning, I found that the phone STILL was OFF and MORE GNATS somehow magically appears to have multiplied around the sink!
I was mighty glad to get out of there that day!
I complained, but the staff didn't even blink an eye & just apologized blankly as if they heard it every day 10x per day!
Never again!

Checked in late at night on a hot July weekend. No Non smoking rooms left- okay, no biggie. The first room smelled like cat pee. The front desk receptionist gave us a new room which had no air conditioning, and the hot water knob was missing fron the bathroom sink. The poor receptioninst seemed very embarassed, also like this is not the first time a family had this experience. She upgraded our room to a King sized. The final room we had was just generally grungy, the chairs with stains on the cushions and the sheets a grayish formerly white look. We attempted to call the receptionist, but there was no phone in the room. She called management who stated that she was unable to refund us due to the 15 minute rule the last reviewer mentioned. She gave us a phone and we sucked it up. All night we heard loud yelling and partying, and suspicious characters milling outside the rooms. Close to 5 am we woke to a ruckus that was 3 police cars searching the wooded area behind the building. A 'manhunt' the officer called it. We left as soon as the officers said the coast was clear.

Was given a room and when we turned back the sheets there were short black hairs and dirt all over the sheets (rodent or human I don't know). So much that we screamed in horror. Went to the office and was given another room. Walked in and there were cobwebs covering the wall, full of bugs , a chair cushion falling off and it was filthy, the cushion and under it too. We couldn't run out fast enough. Back at the office told the receptionist that we couldn't stay there. Was told I couldn't get a refund because we were over the 15 minute time limit for a refund. Went next door to the Motel 6 where we got a CLEAN cheap room. We are not fussy clean nut people, but these Travel Inn rooms are absolutely unbearable!
