Superb La Demeure

We thoroughly enjoyed our week's stay at La Demeure conveniently located near the Gobelins Metro. So Parisian and chic ! Rooms clean and comfortable and breakfast ample and varied enough to see you through to lunch and beyond. Manager and staff friendly, helpful and informed.

All i have to say about this hotel is that it's what made my trip in Paris. The Staff is by far the best group of people I've ever meet and extremely helpful. Plus you're walking distants to Rue Mouffetard!!!! If you're looking for more of a city feel and less touristy then this is the place for you.

Clean and comfy

Used Booking.com and travelled with my two daughters, 9 and 7. We had a "suite" which consisted of a queen bed and a small ante room with a single bed. There was space to walk around the beds and store luggage on the floors in each room. There were also closets where one could unpack. The room was clean and we were comfortable. Room temp and water temps were fine. The bathrooms were updated and clean. Note the hotel does not provide what Americans call a "face towel", only hand and bath towels. However I was told by the staff that it is uniquely American to use a small towel to bathe instead of your hand. Who knew? The staff was quite helpful and polite. The elevator holds 2 people or 1 person and 1 suitcase--no more. It was the smallest elevator I'd been in and taking our luggage to the top floor required multiple trips. The continental breakfast was adequate but a bit overpriced, 13 euros. I believe I was charged half price for the children. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the nearest substation and proved to be well located, as we passed a meat market, grocery store, patissere, an Italian restaraunt and a corner cafe on the way to the subway. Clean comfy, average hotel. I would probably stay again if better priced.
charming small hotel, extremely charming, knowledgeable staff....

We had the distinct pleasure of staying at the hotel from October 12 through the 20th 2007; Francoise and ALL of the staff were
exemplary...patient, informative, very warm & friendly. The hotel being only a short 3 blocks to the metro and a brasserie as well as a block and a half from a local post office was just an extra smile and shake of our head on how fortunate we were.
Our room was on the 5th floor, balcony over looking Blvd St Marcel, yup, small, no tub but good shower...our
philosophy has always been if you are visiting the area, not your room size but only the cleanliness is important and it was fullfilled here.
This trip to Paris was the first trip to Europe for my significant other, who has black & white photography (the now apparently OLD method) in his blood for 35 yrs. Thank you to all of the staff at La Demeure for adding to his and our memories--unforgettable.
