This was my fourth visit to Paris, I have stayed at the Time Hotel Champs Elysees, Tim Hotel Palais Royale and the Tim Hotel Le Louvre twice.
The Le Louvre is perfectly located, right in the centre of everything. The Metro is close by as are many sandwich shops and some good restaurants.
The rooms are ideal for a city break because you don't really spend much time in them so why pay extra for something you won't use? It is clean, comfortable and professional.
There is also a luggage cupboard so when you check out of your room you don't have to drag your bags around with you all day until your flight.
The breakfast is fine, basic, with cereals, croissants, juice, cold boiled eggs etc.
When I go back to Paris this is my preferred hotel.

A typical Paris hotel with small rooms and even smaller bathrooms. I went to sit on the toilet and hit my head on the opposite wall – now that’s small. We spent a week there at the start of our trip and another 2 days before leaving France. The place is rather old and was apparently refurbished in 1995 (?). Whoever selected the carpet has obviously never changed a nappy.
In the first week the lift broke down twice and they also had problems with their fridges which reduced what was available for breakfast.
However, having said that the Tim has a lot going for it. The reception staff couldn’t do enough to help and the location is near perfect for all the major tourist attractions. There is a supermarket (for water etc) near by and a bakery just around the corner.
Not sure if I would stay here again.

We stayed for 5 nights at the Hotel Tim in April. Most of what I have to say about the hotel is a repeat of everyone else's comments. We paid 107 euros a night.
The room is smallish but fine, especially by European standards. Nicely decorated, comfy bed (one of our musts). The shower IS tiny, the smallest of our 5 week trip to Europe, they should give you a T-shirt proclaiming "I survived the Hotel Tim shower". Since there is no shelf to put shampoo on to, it is quite the trick to pick it up without turning the water off or getting stuck bent over!
Hotel staff is nice and helpful. Our only complaint is that when we first got there -- they were gluing down new carpet on the stairs and they did not ventilate the area so the stairs and our room were filled with toxic odors.
Our room overlooked the street but with the windows closed at night was not too noisy. Room included a coffee maker (and coffe) which we used to make hot water for instant oatmeal and miso soup each morning to save money. The hotel breakfast looked good but we needed to save our money for travel and fun! The room also had a small TV.
The location was great for the Louvre and Metro. We bought a multi-day Paris Museum pass while at CDG airport and used the "secret" passholder entrance to visit the Louvre for about 1 1/2 hours almost every day -- it is a great way to do it to avoid Louvre burnout.
There is a boulangerie right around the corner and the hotel is next to 2 cafes.
Like another reviewer, we took the RER B train from CDG airport the Les Halles metro stationa and had a pleasant stroll from there - toally easy. We left from Orly airport and, since our cheap airline flight was too early for the metro, we took a cab to Orly.
I'd stay here agin but on our next trip to Paris, I think we'll stay closer to the Notre Dame area -- that is a more happening area.
